Red Oak (1 Quart)

Worked perfect on my old red oak 1970’s Cabinets. Couldn’t tell they were oak when I was done.

This was a good product overall, bordering on excellent. Application and finishing were all as advertised. The only shortcoming for me was that it lightened in color more than I would have liked when it dried. As applied, it came very close to matching the tone of the red oak I had purchased at a major home improvement store. However, when it dried, the color lightened up significantly until it was several shades lighter than the wood. When I applied polyurethane it darkened some, but was still visibly lighter than the wood. In that I was not using any stain in my application, I can't speak to how this product reacts to stain. That said, the overall quality of the product is such that I would purchase Timbermate wood filler again.

Didn’t want to review the product until I used it. Well I just finished a red oak bar top using it to fill in the grain before staining. Worked great. Definitely will be using and buying this wood filler in future projects. Worked better than any product I’ve tried before

doesn’t dry out quickly like most fillers. doesn’t sag.great shelf life.one of the best wood fillers i’ve ever used.but, have a care, it doesn’t match my red oak oak floorboards very well at all. i still need to stain the filler as needed.
