This is an awesome doll! I was really hoping to see Ken ...
This is an awesome doll! I was really hoping to see Ken and the other guys become as diverse as Barbie and the girls, and it looks like that's exactly what we're getting! This is a very unique and original doll. I love him enough to give him 5 stars, but I feel 4.5 is more fitting for two reasons. The first is that I like the feel of "real" hair and sort of wish his "man bun" was an actual real bun instead of sculpted - though I see why some people prefer sculpted hair on male dolls, as it's easier to keep certain short hairstyles neater/cleaner that way (though this hairstyle shouldn't be all that hard to recreate on a doll with real hair - I actually am a man with long hair and know that from experience!). The other is that I wish he had more articulation (like the elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles) - he can only move at the usual five points (head, both shoulders, and both hips). Other than that, though, he's fantastic! His clothes are all "real" and very well-made - I already mentioned that tend to prefer "real" hair over sculpted hair, but I find sculpted hair much more forgivable than sculpted clothes! I wish they were making more dolls with "real" clothes these days. I especially love the new body type - it really does help add diversity to my doll collection like there is in the real world! Already hoping to get some more broad and slim male dolls! :) So on the whole, I'll round up my 4.5 star score to a 5. Keep up the great work, Mattel! :)

Broader Ken and nice all around...
I love his face mold, identical to the Barista Ken, including coloring. I prefer his thicker physic over the other. He has good balance when standing. I like this addition to my collection.

Surprised by man bun
Great doll. Larger is size than most Ken dolls. This doll has a man bun on the back of his head.

As Expected
Was as expected for a barbie. Good price. Didn't realize he had a man bun until it arrived. Not a big deal.

he's competing with malibu Ken and some other generic version who looks just like Malibu Ken
my little lady needed some more" men" for our home spun version of "the Bachelorette", Barbie style. --This latin Ken with the man bun seemed to work for the 4.5 y.o recipient. he's competing with malibu Ken and some other generic version who looks just like Malibu Ken...so i like the new diversity of Gents that "fashionista" line brings. Sadly, after purchasing, i saw the same doll in Walmart for $5. I hate it when that happens.

Super Cute Bun Boy
Super cute can't stop looking at him. No wonder he sold so well. Would have preferred him with a made to move body.

for good reason. lol Anyways
My wife has been crushing on hipster manbun Ken for a long time. i ordered her this guy so she wouldn't be alone when i'm away on work trips. she wont even let our daughter play with him or even introduce him to Barbie,.. for good reason. lol Anyways, this was the perfect little gift to put a smile on her face.

Wide-bodied; may be missing loose side hair detail; not the best articulation
UPDATE: I didn't realize it, but our Man Bun Ken doesn't have a loose side hair on the left side, even though it is pictured as part of Amazon's description. I don't appreciate that missing detail, although he is still a fun doll. His complexion may also be a little darker than the pictures presented. Fwiw, our doll was made in Indonesia, which some bloggers suggest may have more QC issues on average vs. Chinese-made Barbie / Ken dolls. Just FYI.(Wife): I like the "man bun" and appreciate Mattel's attempt to diversify Barbie and Ken these days. Kudos to them for doing so.This Ken is pretty good-looking overall. I would not remove his shirt, though, as then he can end up with a "low rider" issue while standing up (i.e., his briefs can show some).I think that he can wear normal Ken shoes. At least, I think he fit into one of the normal-bodied Fashionista Ken's shoes. His articulation is so-so. Classic Cool Fashionista Ken has similar overall articulation but a wider range of motion in the legs. Both dolls can lift arms up and to the sides; but Man Bun Ken (Distressed Denim Fashionista Ken, Broad) cannot move his legs apart much at all, either to the side, or toward the back. By contrast, Classic Cool Fashionista Ken has a better range of motion in the legs, both front-to-back and toward the sides, having roughly the same body type as Dolphin Magic / "Surfer" Ken.If I want to give Man Bun Ken a wider range of motion or make him more articulated, that may take some trial and error, and I may lose him in the process...... although if I were to learn from the experience, it might be worth it. I would love to find a suitable articulated body for his head. Not sure where to find clothes for him. He needs clothes for a wider body than a standard Ken.I will attempt to include pictures to show what I mean articulation-wise and show the body comparison vs. Classic Cool Ken, whose body size is more traditional (as far as I can tell).
