Easy to assemble as a plug-and-play transmitter and receiver !

This product does not work well. It freezes often (green screen) and requires a shut-off on the rx to get it back to work. Also, if the video is "busy" it will drop performance considerably and reset itself (white screen with password info). The old iogear unit I bought in 2014 worked a lot better. I would still be using it, but it died. Update 6-25-25 - Spoke to IOGear support today. They are working with me on the unit now. They think I may have an issue with this particular unit. It does have a 1 year warranty. I will update the review after I finish working with their team. Update 7-22-25 - Replacement unit received. Support from IOGear was great. We spoke at length on the issue. They think I received a defective unit and replaced it.

Works pretty well for me. It is plug and play. For me, the transmitter and receiver are not very far from each other (around 20 ft). Signal pretty stable. The tv able to receive the PC and up scaled dvd signal and settop box without any issue.

This product like most others say they transmit 4K, and maybe they do "transmit the content", but in reality if you are transmitting to a computer display, the best resolution you can get is 1920x1080. It worked great, but I didn't keep it for this reason.

It works, but maximum settings I was able to get on it is 1080p 60Hz 8-bit color. With fast changing picture some frame issues are noticeable. Overall is good for the price. Please note, that transmitter doesn't connect to receiver until you get HDMI connected. You need to connect and enable it as a monitor in the system, so it gets stream on it.

I was nervous when this arrived as the seals were broken on the box. Inside there were signs it was used and returned (including hair in the box). Removing and setting things up (not a novice, I got my FCC license in 1965) was easy but the transmitter would not connect with the received from a distance of less than ten feet. The red light on the transmitter kept flashing and could not connect to the receiver. Obviously whoever returned this unit likely had a dud and returned it but it was simply put back on the shelf and sold to another buyer (me) who wonders what would make anyone think this would fix itself? Update: Replacement arrived. Took quite a bit of trial and error to get it to work (and almost no guidance from the documentation or online).

I purchase this kit hoping that it can resolve my use case with iOS devices and Nintendo Switch. I was able to connect Nintendo Switch with the transmitter. However, with iOS, it’s kind of glitchy. It will only work with screen mirroring, not airplay such as Apple TV, Apple Fitness or even YouTube. Overall, this will be a 10/10 if it could do airplay. I am returning this due lack of functionality than what it was described it is capable of doing. I think Roku might be a better choice if you want to use airplay like me.

Will only display in 1080p, not 4K. It is rated for 4K. Even at 1080p text documents on my Windows PC display blurry text.
