Not all "super absorbent like a towel" but they serve our purpose and a great price, well-made
The terry cloth fabric is very thin and I would not trust it with hot coffee, tea, or soup. We use them only for dribbles of water from a baby bottle. I knew they were not waterproof from the description, and the fabric didn't have that look of thick thirsty terrycloth so I wasn't surprised to find that they were thin. The cotton fabric is nice and soft, so you can use them to wipe your face without scratching your skin. I've put them through the washing machine and dryer a couple of times so far and they've held up well: no shrinkage, the edging is well-sewn. The velcro tab does tend to grab and pull at the fibers during the wash/dry cycle leaving the back of the neck looking like a cat's been clawing at it. Not too concerning but will probably put a big safety pin there to keep the Velcro stuck. I can't answer to staining because we only use them with water. It looks like they'll hold up for lots of use and if I needed waterproof I'd probably take an inexpensive clear shower curtain liner, cut out a shape to match the bib, and hot glue it to the back :-)

Special wedding gift
My eldest back in 2006 asked me to make her something so her dress would not get dirty during their wedding feast. I bought these bibs and embellished them with bride and groom for her, my son, my youngest, a nephew and a niece. A gift to make their day a bit more special and none are their same. The bibs were the perfect way to start this project. The right length and color. Maybe something they can pass down or I make others for my grandkids if they choose to marry one day and I am still around.

My mother in law caretakers loved them
These bibs are wonderful! Large size easy to put and remove. The protect the wearer from spills or falling food and are extremely durable and easy to clean. The ladies that take care of my mother in-law with limited mobility loves them.

Velcro closures fail after a few washes
I was excited when I received these bibs at first, the quality seemed to be pretty good with the exception that they shed a ton of lint upon pulling them out of the package. That was not an issue though as I intended on washing them first. Washing them is where the trouble began. After a couple washes, the velcro closures are no longer working and the bibs won't stay on. Now I have to use safety pins in order to keep them in place which is a pain!

Durable, soft
Helpful when feeding family member with dementia. He also uses it as a napkin to wipe his mouth. Easy to wash. So far still durable after several washes.

For a bib, these are thin cotton Terry.
4 stars given due to quality. They are very thin and did not fluff up after several wash and dry cycles. The Terry fabric is dollar store quality. Velcro is small and comes undone. If you are needing something absorbent,. Try another brand.

Not super absorbant for big spills
Ok for little spills but not for big spills so not "super absorbent". Not for those who spill more than a little amount of liquid. The Velcro fasteners become less strong after using it for a few months, and sometimes the Velcro starts coming undone and scratches my neck. Sometimes the Velcro becomes completely undone and the bib falls off. Most of the time I only drop small amounts of food and small amounts of liquid so it works fine for my absorbency needs, and I put up with the Velcro for now. It would be better if it had strong snaps. We soak it overnight in an Oxy stain remover and the stains come out. The stains may not come out if we didn't soak it.
