Now I get to play with a glue gun instead of lighting myself on fire.
Upfront disclosure: I received this item for free through the Amazon Vine program. There is something just so satisfying about wax seals. I use them for lots of hand written documents and certificates. The only problem I have is when I have a large stack of certificates for students and hand doing ever seal from a candle type wax stick is a bit tedious and dangerous (there have been a few certificates that caught fire from flaming wax). Enter these...insert a stick in a glue gun and away you go. So much faster and safer. The only downside is the loss of the varried color and texture from the burnned bit of wick that you get from a traditional candle type wax stick. This is a minor thing. Bottom line: If you have to do a lot of wax seals, this is definitely the way to go if you want to hand imprint your seal to the wax.

Excellent when you only need a certain color
We use these white glue sticks as wax seals, they work. Our daughter loves making seals but is always short on the color white. White is in high demand since it's used to make so many color combinations. She takes these sticks and just cuts them with scissors and melts them with her other wax beads. They combine well, no issues. They are also not hard to cut and with 16 sticks they should last her awhile. Hopefully this information helps with your purchasing decision.

First time use, i dig it
I had some time yesterday morning and it was something i kept meaning to do, so why not. The process took a few to trial and error, but i like them. I purposely did them on a silicone mat, as they were just trial pieces, and then i decided to try some metallic paints, and decorate a few. Pretty groovy. Next step, see if i can seal one in epoxy, without the epoxy melting it, lol

More of a metallic orange-brown than wine red.
I got these to try out on a project I have where I need to make some red seals. I saw these and I liked the darker red shown here on the Amazon store page. However when they arrived I had to double check that I had the correct color. What I have is more of a darker metallic orange-brown than a wine red, or what is shown on the website. It doesn't really come across as red to me. So I'll be off to find just the right red color of wax for my purposes. These are glue gun melt wax sticks. While that works, I don't want to buy a glue gun just to dedicate to wax seals. I also don't want to bother with trying to melt a blob off the stick, so I cut a chunk off the stick and melted it in a melt spoon. It melts fairly quickly. I was able to melt enough for a single stamp in about 1 minute or so, maybe a little longer. Which is comparable to most pellet waxes I've used. I did my tests on printer paper. The wax bonds with the paper extremely well. To the point it begins to tear the paper if you try pealing it off. While it bonds to the paper well it doesn't grip the stamp excessively and the stamps are fairly easy to pull out of the cooled wax. The completely cooled stamp feels a bit stiffer and less flexible than seals made with pellet wax. That doesn't mean they feel like they are in danger of cracking or breaking easily, Just a little less flexible. If you have a big bunch of letters or other items you want wax seals on this would be a very good option for you as a hot glue gun will be much easier and faster in the long run. However if you only want to seal one or two items these will not be as good, unless you want to cut them up for use in a melt spoon. You get a lot of wax sticks in the package, so it is a fairly reasonable price. You get 16 sticks and I estimate you should be able to get at least 20 stamps out of each stick, giving you at least 320 stamps per package. Coming out to around 3.5 -3.75 cents per stamp.

Great way to melt wax for seals
These wax seal sticks are a very interesting way to melt wax for seals, compared to using a stick of wax and a lighter. You just put them into a hot glue gun and then pull a trigger to melt wax and thn seal it. It's very convenient and the wax looks very good. I like this method so much better that I've designated my hot glue gun to only be used for wax from now on. Great product.

Don’t use a high temp glue gun!
First off, the color is not at all as pictured. I expected a mauve-y taupe, but it’s just baby pink. I used these in my regular (high temp) glue gun and it did not go well. The wax melted before it even got to the nozzle and eked into the whole gun, running down the sides. I just used a lighter for my project.

Extremely impressed with quality and color!
VERY high quality glue. The texture is perfect for so many different types of projects. My current projects are resin tanagrams and a vintage scrapbook. This is perfect for both! Very pleased!

I have not much of an experience with wax stamps but I had a chance to compare this with another brand and this was so much better. The OTHER one melted too fast and gave me a hard time with my stamps. It did not look good most of the time so i had to redo them. When i reheat it for redoing, it would make lots of bubbles. Im saying it took me hell of a lot of time redoing my stamps with that one BUT this brand made it so much easier for me. I still had to redo some because like i said, I’m an amateur but it didn’t take as long as it did with the other one. This has a pretty color as well and price is alright. There were a lot of sticks so I think it was great.

Funktioniert gut mit meiner Siegellack Pistole. Die Siegel sehen gut aus & ich mag die Farbe.
