Mic works well, you need citrix receiver extentions for button function for citrix use
I purchased this powermic III to dictate notes from home. Our EMR is Epic with Dragon Medical built in. The mic functions perfectly and captures my voice accurately for dictaction. However none of the buttons are supported and have no functionality. Attempting to configure/assign buttons with Dragon via Options does not make them functional either. The "next field" "previous field" buttons are extremly helpful navigating through our note template. There is no way to force assign the buttons on the Powermic through Windows 11 either. Not having the functinality is a deal breaker for me... if I have to press F2 to navigate the required epic note fields then this Powermic is worthless. I could just use any mic I have. Secondly, windows recognizes this mic device as a "Powermic II" and NOT a "Powermic III." Someone else noted this in another review. Older reviews from 2019 show that the mic works as intened so not sure if this is a newer windows (I am using Windows 11 Pro) issue. I also do not have a physical version installed on my home work computer; just using it with Epic with Dragon via citrix receiver. Hopefully this helps someone else trying to acheive what I needed. Edit: I got the power mic buttons to function. I use Epic/dragon via citrix receiver. You need to download the citrix receiver extentions (will also give you the functionality for phillps mic too) for dragon onto your work/home computer if you are using dragon via EPIC and citrix. Works perfectly. I found them myself but you may need to talk with your IT folks in your system.

Dragon Game Changer
I'm unsure when this product started. I just ran into it about three weeks ago and gave it a try. I wished I had this magical thing five years ago. You plug it into any USB port on your PC. I'm using it on two systems, my PC and my MacBook Pro. I use it on my MacBook's Parallel installed Windows 8.1 share. Both of my machines are high-end performance. It works flawlessly on both. I will not be inclined to use it on Mac OS by itself. The handheld wand is perfect. I found the mouse control buttons awkward, however. They are absolutely not necessary to enjoy this product. The microphone is marvelous, noise canceling. I have fans and noise around this thing and it does not bother it. I use it both professionally and for hobby writing. I'm in the medical profession. I dictate medical reports with this utilizing my ordinary Nuance professional individual and not the medical program by the way. It works excellently in that environment. I'm older in age and my finger joints are getting intolerant of typing. That is no longer a problem with this device and software. Make sure you get the 9 foot cord, I would find the shorter one annoying. It's worth the extra money. I'm not sure what else to say other than if you like Nuance Dragon, you must have this device. As I said, this is a game changer for the software and I stand by that. By the way? I dictated this entire review using the powermic III with Dragon professional individual by Nuance.

Superb Dictation Quality, Needs Work for Dragon Medical One Full Button Utilization
I purchased the PowerMic III to dictate into the Dragon Medical One Citrix-based software suite for our Epic electronic medical record. I would say that the dictation quality is excellent. It is an expensive tool/toy, however, it is worth it if you are using it all day to dictate patient encounters. The build quality is pretty good and the buttons have a good tactile feel. The microphone sensitivity is just right. The "press to talk" feature is worth the high price - you can dictate in the room with noisy patients (in pediatrics) and still get accurate speech recognition. This tool is far better than the Nuance PowerMic Mobile software that you can use on your smartphone, IMHO, if you are only using one laptop or workstation to dictate all your notes. I purchased the PowerMic III with the 9 foot cord. The cord quality is good, but you need to know how to manage your cable to keep it out of the way and untwisted. I ended up purchasing a short coil cord replacement here on Amazon for better convenience for my mobile laptop workstation. My only complaint is that I do not have full button functionality and customizability right now with the Dragon Medical One software system. I have called customer service and they affirm that this is a glitch right now. I can only customize 6 out of the 13 buttons available. I wish I could use all the buttons. What you cannot see in the website picture is a button on the underside of the PowerMic III for your pointer finger. This defaults to a left-mouse click. It would be great to customize this button as well, or inactivate it, as it could be easy to unintentionally push if you keep your finger there. The Nuance help desk is pretty helpful. They helped me figure out how to get the Citrix drivers onto my laptop and working in order to get the Nuance PowerMic III to work with my system. It was not just plug and play - but the help desk was good. I would purchase this again if I needed to. Or ideally, have your practice buy it for you!

After spending hours and hours being shunted from pillar to post on the telephone, I finally learned that my PowerMic III is no longer under warranty because I bought it from North America in spite of the warranty being listed as two years on the Internet. I was told this Internet information only applies to Great Britain. I was also told it would cost me over $200 just to get this PowerMic III fixed! I am disappointed and angry as I feel Nuance is using bait and switch techniques. I do not believe Nuance products should be listed on Amazon.

Je reviens sur mon commentaire de 2018. Le bouton de dictée est difficile à utiliser car ils restent souvent bloqués en position dictée. Ou alors il ne fonctionne pas du tout. Avec le temps, ce produit vieillit mal.

Our hospital recently installed EPIC. Was using Dragon on my iPhone. Not very convenient. Bought the PowerMicIII. Works great. Convenient. Easy to install.

I use voice dictation because I am disabled. I got this microphone because it is recommended by Nuance, who produced the excellent DragonDictate voice dictation software. The microphone is almost certainly a very good microphone, but it needs to be held between one and 3 inches to the side of your mouth. It also has some buttons which enable you to use it as a mouse, but how you are supposed to use these while holding it next to your mouth, particularly if your hands don't work very well, is a real puzzle. So I sent the Nuance microphone back, and purchased a £25 desktop microphone which works perfectly well and is much more suited to my needs. Hopefully this review will save some people £185!
