The Power of Prayer to Change Your Marriage Paperback – January 1, 2009

This book goes much deeper than "Power of a Praying Wife." Stormie has covered a lot of tough issues that can really harm a serious dating relationship or marriage. Yet although she takes a hard look, she provides hope through scripture and focused prayers. Each chapter has prayers for the relationship, and prayers for each person. As in "Power of a Praying Wife," she encourages the reader to look at themselves, to ask God to search their heart and point out areas that may not what God desires. There are many helpful lists of excellent scriptures. She also addresses those situations and times when you have lost all hope -- again, providing very helpful scriptures that can lift a reader's eyes off the mess and onto God's power. I have bought this book for many other women and encouraged them to pray these prayers. I do believe God is at work even in those situations that appear to be unchanged or unimproved.

I have not found a single one of Stormie's books that I didn't love. After praying for years through the "Praying Wife" book I found that this book gave me the freedom to pray for God to not only change me, but my husband as well. This book deals with those topics that rupture marriage. She always provides a few pages of context on each topic which I find to be immensely helpful. There are three prayers at the end of each chapter, one that addressing the prevention of that issue from happening to your marriage, and then two (one for the yourself to pray and one to pray regarding your spouse) that deal with the issue once it has already taken place/damaged the marriage. I wish I had found this book sooner! Stormie is also provides a lot of hope through anecdotal stories for those dealing with these painful issues.

I am reading this book for the first time and it’s incredible. I love that the book is biblically based and written in a way that anyone can understand. Stormie captured me in chapter one and I began to cry while reading. At the end of each chapter there are simple biblically based prayers that have honestly made me feel power when speaking them out loud. I really like this book and I highly recommend it for all marriages.

Great book! Stormie provides great prayers in the book backed by scripture and if you are going through a hard time in your marriage or if it seems hopeless this will give you hope again. Its God’s will for your marriage to prosper and prayer is a powerful resource.

One of the best books to get on your marriage. Its a eye opener and is full of knowledge. I would recommend to every married couple.P.S. I gave 5 stars due to such a good book. If the book wasn't so good I would have given 4 stars. I bought the book new and received a used one. The cover was sticky and corners where dog earred.

I got this book because I love the power of the praying wife book. My husband and I are currently separated but I'm praying like crazy, I found this book and knew I needed to order it. Stormys prayers are just so amazing and powerful. I love this book but the reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was expecting it to be set up basically like the power of the prayer wife book. This has really short prayers and a verse. I was also kinda surprised by how small the book is in size, not a bad thing I just didn't expect it. All in all another powerful prayer book to add to anyone's collection

It can give you insight into so many things that keep a marriage from being a true partnership; a union that builds each another up to be the best version of themselves. If your marriage is struggling to survive, this can be your lifeline. Prayer is a powerful gift to a marriage. The author has included meaningful prayers, spoken form the heart, for every aspect of a marriage. I would highly recommend this book for all married couples.

This book is amazing. I literally read it in two days. I normally don't like to write in books or mar them in any way, but there are so many great points that I felt that I needed to with this book. Almost every single page is highlighted and tabbed in order to go back to it again and again. This book is for all married couples whether blissfully married or their marriage is in trouble. I highly recommend this book and would give this as a wedding present so that more marriages can survive in this world of disposable marriage.
