it is an excellent scraping tool, i used it to reshape the ugly d shape neck profile on an epiphone sg into a comfortable c shape that is on a gibson sg. it peeled of the crappy and sticky polycellulose finish and the mahogany shoulders of the neck. A light sanding and 2 applications of teak oil transformed this unwanted junker into as beautiful playing guitar!

These are the best cabinet scrapers. Yes, I know it's just a flat piece of metal but Sandvik has always made the best. Now Bahco but quality seems the same. This one is not stiff at 0.6mm and very easy on your thumbs. Good for smaller work. I prefer 0.8mm for general use. I've been using these for 40 years. Not just for fine finishing work, you can remove paint very quickly with one of these too.
