This psyllium husk fiber supplement has been a solid addition to my daily routine. It’s an easy way to get extra dietary fiber in a convenient capsule form, helping support smooth digestion, regular elimination, and overall gut health. Psyllium acts as a gentle, bulk-forming fiber that keeps things moving and can also help you feel fuller between meals — great for overall wellness. I like that it’s organic, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly, so I feel good about taking it every day. Just make sure you drink plenty of water with it! Simple, effective, and convenient — definitely recommend if you want to hit your fiber goals without the mess of powders

I was in the psyllium business and this is what I buy. There's two reasons that this is my personal favorite. First, heavy metals: According to testing done by Consumer Lab, this brand has the lowest levels of lead (of those tested). Now, all psyllium has some amount of lead in it, due to the soil its grown in. The plant naturally pulls it out of the soil, and most soil has lead in it because of years of leaded gas. From Consumer Lab: "Organic India Psyllium Whole Husk Fiber — Certified Organic is our overall Top Pick among psyllium products for several reasons. In addition to providing all the soluble and insoluble fiber listed on its label, Organic India had the lowest concentration of lead of any product (0.6 mcg per tablespoon), which is the same amount we found in 2021." (All the tests done by Consumer Lab were done on the psyllium powder, not the capsules, but I assume they use the same powder in their capsules.) Organic India does put the California Prop 65 sticker on it to be fully compliant with the law. And secondly it's organic! It's a great quality product. Yes, it's expensive. But it's your body.

Many brands of psyllium are available, and many are probably fine; but a big factor which influences my supplement selections is the ‘inactive/other’ ingredients listing. Organic India passes my test…just a pure vegan capsule. Additionally, product has a nice, slight citrus scent. I don’t know why because it is simply psyllium fiber and the vegan capsule, but I like the scent…quite a pleasant contrast to mainstream Metamucil which uses nasty, foul-smelling animal gelatin!

One of my staples in my daily supplements! Helps keep stools formed and regulates the bowels.

So far so good! Another reviewer mentioned its harmful and complained the pictures didn’t give the warnings. In my opinion this reviewer didn’t fully explain what they were referring too so I looked at my bottle. There is a reproduction harm warning under the California PS65 act. I’m not from CA, way past my child bearing years and don’t know enough about the PS65 act. If this is of serious concern then buyer beware, if not I find the product to do what it needs to do without cramping or other uncomfortable side effects.
