How thick is the wooden top? did anybody try and mount cpu holder underneath? the cpu cradles i was looking at recommend 1in desk thickness.

3/4" thick. The top comes in two pcs. 1 pc is 55"x 11 1/2" and the other is 55" x 15 3/4" and both are connected and held by 8 small dowels in between both pcs. Once both pcs are connected the entire wooden top is held by 3 screws/bolts on the bottom onto a bracket on each side of desk along the 55", making it 6 screws all together.
