The installer dump a bag of small lava rocks but it did not cover the whole space. These rocks are bigger and I just mixed them up with what was already there. They provide a nice finish touch.Ps. Be careful to keep them from your gas embers and gas flames.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted the red rock Sedona look for our new indoor electric fireplace and these looked perfect. I was right! Excellent!However… if you plan to use inside like we did, I took the rocks outside and hosed them down to remove all red dirt and silt and let them try out in the sun. They perfect. About the size of a dime and smaller thru out. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my smoker. It covers the heating rods well. Good price too.

As expected good sized not much gravel to mess with

I replaced the reddish brown lava rocks for my fire table with these. They're nice and dark and look SO MUCH better! The size is perfect to fill the opening and not too big so the lid still lays flat when not in use. I only needed one bag...

They are black/brown. I was disappointed in the color. They are listed as black, sure they have black on them but are brown also. I tried to wash them but that didn't help.If you are looking for black lava rock I would suggest purchasing them elsewhere. I have black lava rock from a different company and they are all black.
