I ordered two of these paddles and just got them today, so I haven’t yet used them. But I want to say, I am a bit disappointed in the quality of the orange paddle. First of all, one of the black pieces is missing, I didn’t find it in my package and secondly, the orange paddle looks scraped and like it has been used before.I can’t say anything bad about the blue paddle. It looks new and all the parts are delivered.(I gave it only two stars because of the missing piece, but the blue paddle actually looks really nice)Edit: even though the product itself was defective, I want to say thanks to the seller, they helped with everything I asked and I got my money back :)

I love this paddle for the fact that it breaks down so small and fits into my carry bag easily. It is surprisingly lightweight for a metal construction and feels sturdy. I’ve also tried to float it on the water, so it works. One of my favorite features is the rubber grip areas, it is super comfortable. The drip rings are effective at keeping water from running down the shaft when you take the blades out of the water. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for their first paddle as it's affordable, lightweight, and comfortable which is exactly what I would want in a paddle.

Breaks down for packing. Seems to be a quality product for a backup.

Generally mediochre quality. The stubs on the blades are either oversized or not straight, as it is VERY difficult to insert the blade stubs into the aluminum tubing. The drip rings are a sloppy fit and allow water to run down the tubes. The plastic hand grips on the tubing are almost useless. I was hoping they would be 1/8" foam or more, but no, they are about 1/64th inch thick, so no padding effect, only a slight grip improvement.

Do not buy these! They did not put the required flotation in the paddles, the first time they were used by my grandchildren they sank to the bottom of the lake. I've been using oars and paddles of various types for 70+ years, never have I encountered a paddle that did not float. These are defective and should not be sold. What's worse the company agrees, this is their response to me when I wrote them about the paddles:"We will refund you back the sunk paddle's money, this is our product/s Design Disadvantages, Very sorry for what you experiences with our kayak paddle, please reply us when you see the message. Best regards."But, after promising a refund they failed to send it!
