Honestly it’s just a great knife for the budget. I pretty much only use this knife and wash it after every use any time I’m prepping food and it’s the sharpest knife I have. It cuts super easily, it looks knife, feels heavy, and has a handle that fits my hand personally well. Not sure what else you need. Knife cut. Knife good.

You know how sometimes you pick up a tool or instrument & it just feels RIGHT!? This was my Hackney Chef knife experience with the Vosteed brand. I am not a chef, but I do cook at lot -- AND I'm a huge knife lover/collector. This knife has become an instant kitchen favorite! Even at first glance I could see the quality -- & then picking it up I felt it had an ideal balance. When I put it to the test preparing a meal, my hand fit the excellent ergonomic handle just perfectly. The index finger rests forward & the downward slicing motion is smooth & effortless. The blade has a beautiful finish & the G-10 handle has a sculpture-like faceted appearance (reminds me of Art Deco!). There is even a classy logo embedded on both sides of the handle -- quite stunning! This knife is both beautiful & supremely functional. I can't wait to put it through the paces doing my favorites: Cajun gumbo & jambalaya! Vosteed is really making a splash in the knife world (in the kitchen & also folding knives) -- & they are superb values -- outstanding quality for the small dollar investment. Im a professional Chef and one of my coworkers, told me about that knife and I decided to give it a try, the proce is ridiculously cheap for that kind of knife, I used that knife for almost 2 month before this review, is a really, really sharpest knife I ever used, is a solid knife that performs very well on a variety of kitchen prep duties; It performed very well on all of the cutting tasks with little effort; I was particularly impressed with how precisely it cut raw, boneless skinless chicken breasts into strips with minimal effort. is a great all-around knife at an affordable price. It delivered on its promise of a non-slip ergonomic handle, offering a sure, comfortable grip that makes it an ideal choice for beginners, too. I recommend that knife 100% is a solid, all-around chef’s knife at a great value.

I purchased this on a recommendation from a friend, initial impressions were it looks awesome but the handle is not a customary shape. The handle is actually very comfortable to cut with and feels nice to hold. The wife likes how light it is and she cuts a lot of veggies with it. I sliced up a tri tip for its first assignment and that is a sharp knife! I’m taking it camping this weekend and it will get lots of use.

The Hackney is an amazing knife. When I received it in the mail, I was impressed with the package it came in. The knife itself is a good looking knife. First thing I used it for was to slice a watermelon. It took no effort at all. Sliced like a dream. Super sharp. The Hackney was very comfortable in my hand. Definitely worth the purchase. If you are on the fence about buying this, do it! You won't regret it.

Vosteed does not disappoint again! The Vosteed Hackney 8.5 inch chef knife with titanium nitride coating is extremely well made. Right out of the box, the knife is razor sharp and made easy work of cutting up veggies for dinner. The box itself is actually very nice as well. The knife comes with a very strong slip cover for storing the knife. The titanium nitride coating has help up to any task that I have thrown its way. This will be a knife staple in our kitchen for years to come. It is the knife I reach for the most when preparing a meal for my family! Thank you for the superb product Vosteed!

These two kitchen knives..... its like i hit the jackpot! They're light and razor sharp, beautiful and fits well on my hands, makes me enjoy cutting vegetables and meat, now i just look for random reasons to cook so i can use them. The package was well made, you can see they value the the hard work they put on the knifes, they even send guards, i feel like it should be a felony if anyone damage these beauties. Im not a big fan of "pocket knifes" But im hoping that Vosteed will sell more then just knifes for kitchen, like sharpeners, cases, etc. Ill definitely come for them.
