Class Loved Them
I used these for my kids in my class after we finished a unit on insects. One bag is enough for a class. Most of my class got 2 or 3 each. They loved them.

Perfect for covering in chocolate
They arrived whole and not crushed and some reviews had me worried. There were several sizes so it was perfect for everyone to choose their own for our chocolate covered insect station.

Kids love them
I got these for Sunday school as a gag for the kids. John the baptist eating bugs in the wilderness. They loved them and shared them with their parents and grandparents.

Crunchy Goodness
My husband loves unique snacks and he enjoyed these. It's a smaller bag so it was easy to finish in a sitting for him. They're crunchy and tastes like crispy bits of a chip. They can be messy when taking out of the bag, we had some legs falling on tshirt when taking them out initially. The biggest plus was the crispy made it easy to try something new. If you closed your eyes and ate one, you wouldn't notice it being a bug you're eating, just a crunchy snack.

Mixed Crickets. Insects as snack food. Pricey: $20 for 15 grams.
The significant other, a vegan, wouldn’t even consider tasting this snack food. I will admit that I was hesitant, but for different reasons. My nephew was over, and we were discussing how the future might have insects as normal, casual fare for snacks and meals. Yes, they are supposedly high in protein. But, there are some mental obstacles to overcome to consider these as replacements for m&m’s. My nephew bravely took a few and tossed them in his mouth, and chewed it up (while I laughed). He said they taste pretty good.Did I eat any? Well, to be perfectly honest, I chickened out. haha. Maybe if they coated it in chocolate, it would be more palatable to the senses. There is no Nutritional Facts listed on the product, which I found disappointing. At $20 for 15 grams, this seems rather pricey. If this is the food of the future, it seems like it's going to be an expensive endeavor.Based on my nephews assessment, this product does match the statements in the product details. It receives a 4 star rating. Purchase considerations are purely subject to personal dietary preferences. Hehe.

Novel snack item; quite pricey; lacks nutritional info
Insects are a very viable protein source, and one that I'd like to see more of given the greater sustainability compared with other protein sources. This is a very small pouch of dried crickets. And I emphasize the word "small" -- the contents of the entire pouch is about a handful at best. While crickets are pricey regardless of the manufacturer, this is pricey compared with other similar options. The quality seems to be good, with the crickets having a light, earthy flavor that is accented with a little salt. A stronger flavoring would have made them more enjoyable since they don't have much of a taste as-is.I was disappointed that the package lacks nutritional info. I think that's essential info that any quality manufacturer should (and usually do) provide. They are manufactured by the Thailand Unique Co, so I assume they are made in Thailand, but the package doesn't specifically state the place of manufacture or from where the crickets are sourced. The price, plus the lack of essential info for a food product, puts my score at 3 stars. While insects are a food source I'd very much like to see expand in the US, this particular option falls short on a few important criteria.

Edible Insects Mixed Crickets 15g Bag. Fun and actually taste good!
I sampled the ecoEat Mixed Crickets out of sheer curiosity—and they didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t expecting much from an unflavored insect snack, but to my surprise, they had a light, earthy crunch and a kind of roasted nuttiness that wasn’t bad at all. I shared the bag with a few brave friends during a game night, and it was a hit! Everyone got a kick out of trying something so unusual, and a few even went back for seconds. The presentation was sturdy, and the crickets arrived intact—not crushed or powdery. I even used a few for a novelty chocolate-dipped insect treat, which was weirdly delicious. That said, the portion is tiny for the price—about a small handful at best—and I wish there was some basic nutritional info on the label. Still, it was a fun novelty gift and made for a great conversation starter. It’s probably not something I’d snack on regularly, but for a classroom experiment, gag gift, or adventurous eater, this is a solid choice. Just don’t expect a full meal—or even much protein—for your money.✅ Pros:Crunchy and surprisingly mild flavorFun and adventurous gift ideaArrived intact, not crushedGreat for classrooms or parties❌ Cons:Very small portion for the priceNo nutritional information on the packageNot very fillingLightly seasoned.
