Is this suitable to put on bare wood to protect it?

I've just used it to reseel a solid oak dining table that I sanded right down to remove deep scratches a and a deep stain. It came up beautifully. I applied three coats of wax giving time in between coats . to dry.

Will it make your surface darker

Only if the wood is a very light colour to start with - and even then, the darkening will be minimal

Can it be applied to painted furniture to waterproof?

Sorry I don't know, but I wouldn't think it would be appropriate. Don't think it would sink in to the paint. I have used it on waxed wooden furniture and it takes a while foe the wood to absorb it before buffing, bur ot is an excellent product. Sorry if this is not of much help.

Can this be used on a wooden fire surround that gets quite warm. I was wondering if the wax would be released from the wood when heated.

Woodstain is usually used on fire surrounds. You are corrrect that a wax would get hot, I personally have only used on furniture such as tables, cabinets etc that are made of wood. I hope this helps.

Great polish/treatment for your wood.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Great polish/treatment for any wood. I tend to apply to my table/sideboard etc and leave it for 10 mins before buffing. Brings your wooden furniture back to shiny lustre. Have been using for sometime now. Usually use this once a month and just dust the rest of the time. Why did you choose this product over others?: Because I had scratches and marks on my tables etc.

Not as good as they claim on the video

Used this on a reproduction mahogany wardrobe. It didn't do anything except coat it with goo which was then difficult to get off. It never altered the colour of the wardrobe in any way, and didn't do anything except leave fingerprints if you touched the wardrobe for weeks after, no matter how many microfibre cloths I used to try to remove the polish. Didn't even smell of lemons.

Amazing!

I have 5 Ragdoll kittens that have scratched all my pine bedroom furniture so saw this product and based on other reviews thought I would give it a try. I am so happy the pine all looks so much better and furniture I thought looked so bad has come up a treat! well worth the money very easy to use and does exactly what it says. This is not a paid review so I would give it a try you wont be disappointed !
