will this work on a 20g x high tank?

Please whatever you do, do not buy this thing. It produces trillions of micro bubbles from the body seams causing the cup to be useless. A month after I bought it I threw it away and bought the $200 Eshopps PSK 100H skimmer and have no regrets about the expenditure. Within a week the beautiful pink bacteria (I forget the name) was growing and the gross stuff was being precisely collected in the cup. Whatever you do, do not buy that cheap skimmer.

Will this skimmer work in my 12 gallon fluval edge tank?

I have it in a 30 gal classic rectangular tank and all my reef inhabitants seems to be happy with it. It is installed inside of the tank and submerges about 90%. It might look big in 12 gal, as it probably occupies about a 1/2 gal of aquarium space.
