Set it up properly and you will get a long battery life. We bought 1 to try and with some changes to settings, estimate 7-8 weeks of battery life before a charge. Probably charge at 6 weeks so we have full functionality. Quality is excellent, detects people with packages, unfamiliar faces if you subscribe to Nest aware. I turned off vehicle detection and lowered the sensitivity so it is not telling me every time someone walks down the road. Be mindful installing it near your outdoor lights as it may make night visibility had with glare. We will get another 1 or 2.

The item freezed .i tried to reset according to the troubleshooting BUT it didn't work.i have only used it for 1 month

The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) is an excellent addition to our smart home setup. Setup was easy — the app guides you through each step clearly, and connecting it to our Wi-Fi and Google Home system was seamless. The video quality is impressive, with a tall field of view that captures visitors from head to toe, even packages on the ground. Night vision is clear, and the notifications are timely without being overly sensitive. Battery life has been solid — we’ve been getting around three months per charge with standard settings. One of the underrated perks is how well it blends in — the Ash colour is modern and subtle, and the design overall looks premium without drawing too much attention. My only (slightly funny) gripe? My wife isn’t a fan because it’s made it harder to sneak in online deliveries without being caught — I get a ping every time a courier approaches the door. Overall, a great investment if you’re looking to boost home security and convenience. Definitely recommend.

Surprisingly good, i got the american import battery versio . Lens can be foggy during rain so maybe find a snap on rain hood. Simple to fit, looks good and works well. I have since subscribed to nest aware and love the 30 days of video storage. Impressed so far!
