The skirt is designed so the pocets are roomy and sewn to the side seams. There's a left side zipper to help you get into the skirt, but the back elastic allows for those of us with scrawny bottoms to just pull the skirt on. There are two buttons for adjustment at the waist! Brilliant! It doesn't get any better than this on those days when I need a bit more ease. Care instructions from this seller tend on the cautious side, but I personally wouldn't hesitate to wash mine in cold water. Cotton can shrink, so your skirt might end up shorter if you dry it or wash it with heat. I suspect it would be fine, but this is my educated guess. When I wash one, I will add my comments. Since dresses with nursing access are hard to find, I wanted to get a really pretty skirt and pair it with a nursing top for some special occasions coming up. Interestingly, the color goes really well with the Milk Nursingwear Empire Scoop Neck Nursing Top in Sage (the nursing top is a little bluer than depicted) so I think they will work great together as a cute outfit. At the advice of other reviewers who found the sizing small for the skirt, I ordered XXL - normally I'd wear XL in US sizes (16/18), and I'm glad I got XXL, it fits my post-baby belly perfectly. Great things about this skirt: 1. the stretch waist band, that somehow still manages to lay flat due to some subtle pleats. So a shirt can be tucked in and still appear neat. There is also a zipper and two buttons, which will be handy to tighten the skirt if needed (or loosen it after a big meal, LOL!) 2. It has pockets! (Why don't all skirts, pants, and dresses for women have them?!) 3. The length is just below the knee for me, when worn at my natural waist (I'm 5' 7"). Negatives: 1. The care instructions do say hand wash. I'll hand wash it for the events I wanted to wear it to, then will probably try machine washing it in a delicates mesh bag and hanging it to dry and see if that works. 2. The material is on the thin side (which is actually nice for Spring/Summer), but since it's unlined - backlit by bright light, you would probably see your legs in silhouette. If you care about that, you may want to wear a slip under it. It is not transparent in normal lighting though, at least this color/pattern is pretty opaque. Bottom line: nearly perfect! I'd definitely consider getting some of the other patterns of this skirt in the future.

Nice looking skirt
This skirt seems like it will look nice and fit well after a wash and iron, if you got the correct size. The stitches look like they will hold up to a lot of washing. The item description differs just a little in that the skirt is actually 95% cotton, not 97%. I bought the large based on the size chart but even on the tighter button, it was too loose for my liking. I would prefer a snug waist for A-line skirts. The buttons should be the same or similar shade as the skirt instead of transparent. I feel like transparent buttons are more easily seen and I would want to hide them with my top instead of wearing my top inside of the skirt. It was easy to zip and the cloth is thick/heavy, so I don't see the need for lining. Overall, it's a lovely skirt and I may update my review if I get a medium instead.

My new favorite skirt!!
Okay. I am a large woman. This skirt fits me PERFECTLY. The waistband has two buttons so you can adjust how tight it is, and it has some elastic too. The fabric is a really nice cotton, the print is vibrant and clear (I got the cute print with the busses and cars), the length is just right, the pleats are well-placed, AND IT HAS POCKETS!! I wore it to work today with just a light petticoat underneath (red to match the busses) and it was cool, comfortable, and easy to move around in. And I got SO MANY compliments. Coworkers, clients, random people on the street. Everyone loved my skirt. I felt so cute and so comfortable. Now I need all the other prints!

Cute but not a great fit
I love the pattern of the skirt and have had my eye on it for a while. The pattern drew me and I was finally able to buy it. However I must say that while I am a little disappointed that the skirt came wrinkly, that can be fixed. What I deducted stars for was the fit. I am small at around 5ft and just over 100 pounds so I knew I was taking a chance with this skirt since I knew it ran long but it comes well below my knees and fell to my hips. If I pull the skirt up and hold it tight in the back it looks better but bunches. I am annoyed they didn’t have a smaller size but I suppose I knew the risk I was taking when I ordered and will just have to alter it. The skirt is not amazing quality but did not seem shear, picked, or stained on arrival either. All this being said you get what you buy and with this you’re buying an average mass produced skirt in a cute pattern. I personally think this product is about ten dollars over priced, but I did buy didn’t I?

Love this skirt!
I'm so happy with this purchase! It fits true to size. I'm 5'3 and it falls right below my knee. What I didn't expect was how stiff and structured the skirt is. The pleating is really nice and it holds its shape so well! There's pockets! and the pattern is beautiful. It definitely holds up to some of my higher end pieces. In the picture, the bottom looks scalloped but it is a regular straight hem. Not a deal breaker for me but not as pictured. This skirt is perfect for work or a semi dressy event

The description says it's cotton but it's made of a blend of synthetic material. It's still a nice skirt but I wanted a cotton skirt.

Great for the price. Not lined but nice thickish cotton with a touch of spandex. Sewn well, with an extra button at waistband to adjust up or down. Awesome- 2 pockets!!!!! I am a Large in Aust sizing so I went with the XLarge For a Chinese sizing make. Glad I did! The design is full pleated from waistband (As opposed to a sewn down dropped pleat) so it’s a real retro 50s look. Print is nice - vibrant bright lemon yellow - and will go with a lot of looks. It’s perky and will look neat ‘officed up’ will a slim cropped blazer and little sleeveless top and wedges of flats.
