I am a strategic psychotherapist and now i add hypnosis on my work tool kit. This book is the most comprensive text of hypnosis, the most expert in the field presents the state of the art of rispective speciality, resulting in the most complete and serious base for beginning the fascinating exploration of hypnosis in his medical and psychological application. This book is as a complete menu of sample of food, if you desire the full mastering of the coulinary arts described in the menu you must read bibliographic reference and the end of any of the 75 chapters and find it for a deep learning. The structure of any chapters is very clear for learning because specific sequence of theory, research, tecnique and script for a natural passage from abstract theory to clinical practice in a moltitude of theme. Sorry for my english, i'm italian.

This book exceeded all my expectations. This is a must have in a library. This book compiles both approaches: medical and psychological. It gives you a brief description of the illness or disorder, a case to study, the technique used to help with the issue and a conclusion. Very interested. Still fascinated reading it.

It's comprehensive in its coverage of the use of clinical hypnosis with many many medical diagnoses. I like the format: research, case example and sample script. Its early chapters give a good overview of hypnosis in general.

Though the piece came late and I had to teach from the book it is an excellent resource book and tool for all hypnotherapy classes. Thank you for your inexhaustive work. Dave

The writing is intentionally exclusionary. Why use big word when small word work?

Good review of the literature in every chapter which are written by experts. Overall probably the best book available on medical hypnosis at present.

Hier ist alles drin was das "Hypnose-Herz" begehrt. Neben dem Klassiker von Hammond (1990) ist dies der aktuellste Stand in der Arbeit mit Hypnose. Leicht zu lesen und sehr informativ und anregend.

Great book that integrates experience, evidence based and tacit knowledge that is useful for clinicians providing clinical Hypnosis in practice. Most helpful for those that understand the basics and have some experience already with Hypnosis in their practice.
