Train sound effect only lasts 10 seconds.
We purchased a white and red train with car from Amazon. The sound effect for the red train only lasts 10 seconds before going silent. The white train's sound never turns off. As a result, the red train gets used twice as much. We use rechargable batteries because the trains see a lot of action with the grandkids.

After you put the battery in the lid doesn't close very well, so the train doesn't work. I had to put a tape to stay tightly closed and it turned on.After some uses it stopped working.

Fun little engine
My grandson was having so much fun with the white battery-operated toy engine that I wanted to get him another. This one is great with the Thomas-type cars and track.

Does not work
The train makes noises but does not move, very disappointed- sending back and trying another one. We finally got it to work but cannot go up any incline like pictured
