works well.
It works well. I have used it a few times now. There are a lot of packets, so one box will last a long time. I recommend it to kill the bad algae. It has not harmed any fish or shrimp or snails.

Effective Solution for Cyanobacteria – Restores Tank Health!
Title: Effective Solution for Cyanobacteria – Restores Tank Health!Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)I recently used Fritz Aquatics Slime Out Treatment to tackle a stubborn red cyanobacteria problem in my saltwater tank, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Within a few days of applying the treatment, the unsightly red slime was completely gone, and my tank looked significantly cleaner. The product was easy to use, and I appreciated how it didn't harm my fish, coral, or live rock. After dosing, I noticed a clear improvement in water quality and overall tank health. This treatment really worked to target and eliminate the cyanobacteria without disturbing the delicate balance of my aquarium’s ecosystem. What I particularly liked about Fritz Aquatics Slime Out is its versatility. It works for both freshwater and saltwater tanks, which makes it a great option for anyone with a variety of aquarium setups. It’s also non-toxic to fish, plants, and invertebrates when used as directed, so I felt confident using it in my reef tank. If you're struggling with stubborn red slime or cyanobacteria in your tank, I highly recommend this product. It's affordable, easy to apply, and highly effective at keeping your tank clean and free from unwanted algae and bacteria.

Must admit I didn't do according to package instructions... but boy did it work!
I wish I would have taken a picture, but my 20g Neon tank had a worsening case of blue-green cyanobacteria. The kind you can take off in sheets. Combined with that I also had hair algae, which made for a really painful mix.Well, I dosed this ONCE and then never again. Didn't do water change either (my tanks are heavily planted and there were like 5 fish in the tank and it has a HOB with extra sponges, took carbon out for this). It did nothing for the first couple of days but next thing I know it's all gone. I can't tell you how fast, but it worked! Fish were perfectly fine as well. Given that I only had to dose this once it'll last me a while! Which is great cause I saw some more blue-green gunk form on another tank. It's not at the point of needing treatment quite yet, but it's a relief to have this on hand. Maybe I'll get pictures one day!We have well water, and I expect it's from that. I figure it'll eventually return to the 20g as well, but right now everything is looking pristine. Did NOTHING to the pest snail population, so I'm expecting it's snail-safe. Haven't tried it with shrimp, and haven't had to. All plants were fine as well. No nitrate spike either from what I could tell, but given the amount of filtration I wouldn't have expected it.Can definitely recommend! In the meantime my 20g got more fish, and they're all very happy and content. Carbon has been placed back, so I figure this product is by now entirely gone. If I ever need more I'll get more of this! I did use a different product before (Chempure I believe?) but I liked this more. All my tanks have either sponge filters or HOB/Canister filters with additional bubble bar. I would make sure to have extra oxygenation during this, but it literally all went by as if I did nothing. Slime peaced out without a hitch. Fantastic!

Works pretty well
Treated a case of blue slime bacteria. 3 doses and it was pretty well handled. Great value compared to some of the other treatments

It actually worked!!
This product is a DREAM COME TRUE, and it saved my fish!I've had an issue with green slime since last year that I could not get to go away no matter what I tried. I would have to do a water change every other day to keep it from reappearing, and I took everything out, got all new gravel, plants, and decorations for inside the tank and it still came back. I eventually decided that maybe the bacteria got into the glue holding the walls of the tank together, and came to the conclusion to get rid of the tank for an upgraded slightly larger one instead. When the same issue happened with this tank, I was devastated. Its larger and harder to clean, and it kept coming back every couple of days so I was in a constant cycle of water changes. I tried EVERYTHING. Fluval's algeafix, different kinds of medicines, everything I can think of and NOTHING worked. I was going to get a UV light and try that, but I decided to try this first and I am SO glad I did.The first application didn't yield good results. There wasn't much of a change, and I was disappointed. So I did a water change as directed and tried again, and with the second application it was GONE! From my gravel, the plants, the sides of the walls-- like it was never there in the first place. I was amazed. And the best part is that it stayed nice like that for a long time! I only had to change the water every other WEEK instead of every other day, and my fish looked a lot happier and healthier.I'm ordering more of this right now, it's definitely my new go to! I would recommend it to anyone who has tried everything and is on the fence of buying specialty equipment and stuff. It's worth it!
