Just What I Wanted
I'm not a keyboard expert or snob. I grew up using 1980s mechanical keyboards and haven't had a mechanical keyboard since the PS/2 connector. I have had some $50 keyboards from major brands (Logitech, mostly). I decided it was time to splurge. I was willing to pay up to $200, if I could find a perfect keyboard. Well, this RK96 appeared to fit the bill for a lot less, so I gave it a try. I ordered the one with brown switches, all white keys and blue backlighting. I must say I'm very impressed, it is very easy to type with it. The thunk sound of the keys are pleasant and all the keys are very smooth and they have a good bottoming out when fully pressed. I have a WiFi card that also has a Bluetooth chip built in, so I connected to it quickly with no issues at all. It's very responsive with Bluetooth, so I appreciate not having to use another USB port just for a keyboard. I didn't care about a bunch of flashy backlighting, so I chose the option where it it always lit but the key you just pressed makes the backlight disappear for a brief moment (there's also the option to not disappear). Many other keyboards only have lighting that shows under the keys, this one shows through the key so you can see the letter/number/symbol in the dark as well. A feature I like a lot is the rotary volume control at the top right of the keyboard. My old keyboard had 2 buttons that I had to get my face close to the keyboard and look at the symbols to know if I were pressing the vol+ or vol- (with no backlight). I can adjust the volume with this keyboard blindfolded very easily. The only downside I have noticed so far is the larger feet were so tight the first time opening them up, I thought I was going to break them. But after opening them the first time, they were much easier afterwards. Maybe the factory could do a one time opening of them to loosen them up? This is a great keyboard for people who just want a quality device with simple options, but it does have some advanced options if you want to play around. But really, who wants lights flashing around like a nightclub on a regular basis? You may play with that for a while, but will probably choose something simple after the gimmicks wear off. Gamers might like the modes where only certain keys light up, but I'm not a gamer, so I can't comment on that. The one thing I would like to configure is having the backlighting to come on when I type and turn off after about a minute. I think it could be done with some software installed, but I don't want more stuff installed on my PC. I'm fine with FN+UP And FN+DOWN. Overall, I would recommend this keyboard. It can be as simple as you want, but also offers a lot of flexibility and advanced features you may want. To note, this entire review was typed on this keyboard. Don't blame the keyboard for my opinions or bad grammar.

Awesome quality and perfect for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts!
I absolutely love this keyboard! You can tell that RK put some thought into building it. It feels and sounds solid. It works perfectly in 2.4 GHz wireless 2.4GHz or Bluetooth 5.0 modes. Obviously, you can connect the keyboard to your computer physically too (and the connector is USB-C thankfully). If you use are using the RK96 via USB, you can connect other USB devices to it (like a USB hub) to cut down on the number of wires on your desk. They really didn’t have to include that functionality, but it’s nice they did. The volume controller is cool because you don’t turn it left or right, you swipe up or down which feels more natural. The key layout is better than all the other TKL keyboards I’ve tried because I don’t have to look down to find the arrow keys. They are shifted just slightly toward the typist so you can feel where they are located. Here’s the big thing: the keyboard customization software is good. I was able to disable the caps lock and tilde keys (I do this for gaming but you can change any key on the board), set the right ALT and right CTRL to Home and End (there are Home and End function keys, but with my new keycaps I can’t tell where they are, lol—more on this later), and I recorded a few macro shortcuts with the software and set them to the F8 and F9 keys. If you are into keyboard customization the RK96 is a great starting point. The case and stabilizers are high quality. The PCB can withstand some accidental liquid spillage (see below). The included keycaps and hot-swappable switches are good, but if you’re an enthusiast you’re going to change them out anyway. I bought the RK96 with red switches (for gaming) but changed most of them out for Drop Holy Pandas. However, I did leave the stock red switches on the WASD and left Shift keys to make my RK96 a typing/gaming keyboard. I also changed out the stock keycaps for Tai-Hao Rainbow Sherbet. Again, you do not have to change out the keycaps and switches, but if you’re an enthusiast or want to customize your keyboard you can. Last thing: I spilled coffee all over my beautiful, customized RK96 keyboard. It was devastating, but after some light water/alcohol cleaning and asking Royal Kludge support (they are great, btw) I was able to save my beloved keyboard. If you're an enthusiast, just getting into mechanical keyboards, or just want a great keyboard I highly recommend the RK96.

The RK96 is my first mechanical keyboard. I was looking for a nice (starter) keyboard with red (linear) switches since I intended to use it for gaming as well as productivity. This form factor seemed to be my best choice, as I wanted a keyboard a little smaller than a full-size, but did not want to omit the numpad. When I got it a couple of weeks ago it worked fine (no issues in all the three modes), but upon hooking it up to my laptop, it burnt out on the USB port. I quickly got in contact with RK support (via the intermediary). After a couple of pleasant exchanges of information (and a couple of videos stating the problem), it was quickly decided to send me a new keyboard. Delivery of the replacement was quick! It does have a slight ping on some of the keys, but I may add some mods after running it as is. So all-in-all great service, nice keyboard. Definitely getting a 5 star for the service.

Klavye benim işimi gördü ancak söylemem gereken 2 nokta var. 1. Klavyenin "kasasının" boyası biraz kalitesiz, oraya buraya sürterseniz boyası çıkıyor/çiziliyor. 2. Klavyenin Açma/Kapatma ve Bluetooth/2.4GHz geçiş butonu klavyenin "altında". Klavyeyi kaldırmadan açıp kapatamıyorsunuz. Onun dışına switchler hoş, yazması zevkli. Yurtdışında sanırım dandik marka olarak biliniyormuş RoyalKludge ancak ben paket içeriğindende, paketlemedende, kalitesindende memnunum, uzun zamandır gündelik kullanıyorum. Klavye koleksiyonumda olmasından memnun olduğum bir klavye.

Has he potential to be agreat product, but disappointed that it has a low power mode that can not be turned off. (In other words, the keyboard enters a sleep mode after a period of time, when it resumes it takes up to 10 secoends to "awaken" in which only some of the keys pressed are registered. For my work, I need a keyboard that I can ensure doesn't enter this low state mode. I reached out to product support but they infomred me there is no way to do this and future firmware updates will not address this issue. For this reason it doesn't work for my purposes and you should consider similar if you require "Always on" as a critical feature for the keyboard.

Dopo un anno di utilizzo (non eccessivo), consiglio la tastiera, i tanti rispondono bene agli input, non ci sono segni di usura e la durata è piuttosto lunga, contando anche che non la spengo quasi mai.. veramente comoda
