This is great and so far has helped a lot...unfortunately it has not helped against the idiots that still refuse to read and let their kids run towards my dog...Sabre is a rescue that was abused and is very protective of me and when she sees someone running towards her (or me) she gets defensive, I have the harness and a collar but I still stay on high alert when we go on our walks. Sabre is good with other dogs and with the people we walk with, its just when other people disregard her collar and her harness and tell their kids its ok to pet her...I pull her away, I tell them no and I even have had to be rude but my dogs safety comes first to me even if they disregard their children's, and I stay on the other side of the street...so I am doing all I can and the harness is helping but sometimes you just cannot fix stupid!! The harness is very comfortable, or atleast it seems to be, Sabre never complains much at all and she is always happy to jump into it, the purple colors is great and helps people see it and I love having the handle on it too just in case I have to put Sabre behind me because someone still refuses to listen...We might need to market harnesses for stupid people, it might be a help for all of us responsible dog owners...just a thought!!

We got this harness because our dog is very apprehensive with strangers. He adores his family and close circle of friends but gets high anxiety in public places or when strangers approach him or his “people”. He barks, lunges and even attempts to bite. I got to the point where I was actually afraid to take him in public for fear that he would actually bite someone. He is only 25 lbs and pretty harmless, but I couldn’t take the risk and people approach him all the time because he looks so cute and friendly. We have used the harness several times already and I can already see that he prefers this one over his other harness. He doesn’t get frightened to slip it on like he did with his previous one. The velcro in the front threw me for a loop at first and since it didn’t come with instructions, it took a few minutes of fiddling with it to figure out that you velcro it once and then leave it like that and simply slip it over the dogs head to use after that. Our dog is an excellent walker and the clip being on the back was no different than other harnesses that we have used. I can already tell that people are more inclined to stay away now that he is wearing this. I love that the velcro strips are easily switched in and out so that we can interchange with other sayings and not just “do not pet”. This harness has already given me peace of mind in public. If people approach him now or attempt to pet without asking, at least I can say I’ve done my part. Our dog is a mini Australian Shepherd and the small fit perfectly!

I have two rescued dogs, a pitbull mix and a chocolate lab mix. The chocolate lab we think was abused, she is extremely timid when someone approaches her and will nip if someone tries to pat her. Most adults shy away from the pitbull mix which is funny because she is the sweet friendly dog. People assume that the chocolate lab is the one that would be friendly. This vest solves having to tell people that, and it also is great not being anxious when you are out walking the dogs when you see a person approaching. This helps solve a huge problem for me, because being anxious causes anxiety not only for me but my dogs feel my anxiety and increases the risk of a dog bite. I looked at other vests but the large simple bold letters "DO NOT PET" is very easy for everyone to see and read including young children.

My small breed dog has worn this harness for years. Stumbled on it accidentally when looking for something to discourage folks from petting the snappy little fellow. I love it so much, I ordered it for a friend for her birthday. She has always used collars for leash walking, and I wanted her to see how much more convenient and safe this harness is. Once adjusted, it's a cinch to put on. I've never had a problem with friction. And, the "handle" comes in quite handy when discouraging my dog's attempts to control the neighborhood, which he seems to consider to be his territory alone. Highly recommend this harness.

I HATE when people come right up to my pup and stick their hands in his face without asking if they can approach or pet him. HATE IT! He’s the sweetest dog, but no thank you. I’m so excited for this harness and hopefully it’ll help stop people from doing that, or at least make them ask first.My pup is a 25lb Cockapoo. I bought him a medium and it fits him perfectly! Snug, but doesn’t rub and he can walk/run/play happily in it.Very happy with the purchase so far!

This is a very well made vest that was easy to size to my dog. It fits snugly and is comfortable for her, doesn’t chafe anywhere on her skin even after several hours. It also does the job at keeping strangers from approaching her when we’re in crowded areas. She doesn’t look happy here because usually when I put on her vest we’re going somewhere and this was just for a picture. That’s a disappointed dog you see there!

Fits great on our 21 lb pomchi. He’s afraid of people despite constant socializing since he was adopted. People never ask to pet him and it scares him when people suddenly reach for him. This stops people from even looking at him too much. His anxiety about going in stores is gone now, and he even approaches people now that they’re not just lunging for his cute little face anymore.Sizing reference: girth 22”, base of neck to base of tail 16”, neck 13”, 21 lbs.

I love this vest for my pup! I have a reactive pup and this has made people more aware not to come up and try to pet her. I also have her wear a muzzle just in case, but the “do not pet” sign helps me feel more comfortable taking her out. We have been through classes and she has come a long way, but having this extra support gives me comfort knowing that we are trying our best to get people to understand that she does not want their attention.
