USA-Made Front Door Hinge Repair/Rebuild Kit for Toyota Pickup Truck & 4Runner

Installed on an '89 4RunnerIf you're anything like me, as soon as you open the packaging you're going to see how tight the fit is between the bushings and the pin, only to see a loose floppy fit. I was very disappointed but went along with installing these parts hoping the tolerances would be somehow tighter with the bushings installed in the hinge. Surprisingly they are! With the nut tightened down there is absolutely zero wobbling, nice tight fit and the door no longer sagsSide note: if the hole in your hinge is too loose, to where the bushings are basically falling out, you can cut up a soda can and use it as a shim, just wrap it around the bushing and press it in with a bench vise

88 Toyota pickup. Door would make noise while closed driving in pasture or gravel road. Bushings seemed tight checking with door open. Almost close door and check, bam. Bushings we’re bad. Replaced with these, no more annoying noise.

Good quality products the the way the pin fits the bushings is poor. The OD of the pin is much smaller than the ID of the bushing. All of them were loose fitting to the pin. Bushings fit nicely in the hinges and definitely made an improvement over the badly worn ones I had but to spend $100 on these parts was ridiculous that I still have some door sag due the pin to bushing fit. Would buy cheap ones over these next time

Worked great. I used a grinder to remove the pin head on the bottom of each factory pin, then cleaned and painted the hinges before installing the new pins. This is definitely a two person job, at least for the door removal and installation. Took me about 3-4 hours total for both doors.
