Hamlet (Rsc Shakespeare)

I got this version for a Shakespeare workshop and it's great. There's a lot of information on setting the play, characters, even scene-by-scene plot descriptions. Thoroughly informative. I usually go for the Arden version (just because I started getting those), and when I had to get this one I was pleasantly surprised that it's so complete, too.

We had to order this copy for school, and it was actually perfect. The only thing is, they have omitted some of the play. Nothing important, just perhaps to tidy it up a bit. So good for a clean, concise read, but if you need an exact play, each word there, then this one isn't ideal.

Quick delivery. Item in excellent condition. Would highly recommend this seller! Well, Hamlet is Hamlet! and this version gives delicious food-for-thought. Just make sure you're famished, becasuse it's a substantial four-course meal that will take you some time to digest; unless, of course, you're already "obese" with knowledge! Happy reading!

I found this version of Hamlet incredibly useful as it contained a scene by scene summary for those having difficulty comprehending the Shakespearian language, as well as a glossary, contextual notes and key quotes and points to refer to, perfect for anyone who, like me, is studying this play.

Used for my alevels, mas plenty of space to annotate around the edges of the page, this is the larger size than some other copies, which is useful as it allows for more space to write. The footnotes are very useful for translating old English into modern day, and provide some inciteful analysis. The notes on the stage productions are very useful for critical perspectives and are interesting. The paper is good quality and pens and highlighters don't bleed thoigh
