This ashtray is perfect for my car. It fits perfectly in the caddy just below my radio. The led light is an awesome feature to have at night. The lighter is also an added benefit. You always have a lighter at your fingertips! Stainless steel compartment is durable & holds 20+ butts & air tight keeps smoke smell under control. This is a great product at a great price! Definitely recommend this product!

Fits perfectly in our Equinox SUV. It is beautiful and very functional and the cigarette lighter on the top is very cool. The price is very low for a product of this quality. If you smoke in your car you really need one of these.

Used to drive a Taurus station wagon with the shift on the column and tons of room in the center console. Had 4 cup holders. Alas, it got old and demised, and I got a Toyota crossover with an awkwardly-placed, weirdly-shaped shift that eats up most of the center space and took me down to only 2 cup holders with no real extra space to put an ashtray, something I didn't consider when I bought it. Because the shift area bulges out over the center and creates a shadow, it's not only pitch black in the center while driving at night, but I kept hitting the shift area with the end of my cigarette trying to tap into the ashtray in the dark.Not wanting to damage my new car, I hunted around and found this ashtray. It plugs into what used to be the lighter's spot (cars don't come with those, or ashtrays, any more) and the charging cord is more than long enough. Due to the no room in the center situation, I kept its packing twist-tie on it, and it still reaches a cup holder. Its height prevents me from squeezing it into the little bit of space under the bulge.It has a cyan low glow around the rim so that you can see exactly where to tap ash. Perfect! Just what I was looking for.There's a little lighter fitted into the exterior top of the lid as well. I honestly didn't realize it had one when I ordered it, so that was a sweet little perk.It's not anywhere near as large of a hot spot as your standard car lighter used to be, that area doesn't glow, it's flush with the lid and needs a bit of fumbling to get off, and the lid has to be down in order to get at it.So it's something I only use when the car is stationery or someone else is driving. Its placement would've been better off either on the inside of the lid or on the outer side wall rather than the top, and had its own glow to see it, and made a little more easier to get it off to use, because you really can't be fumbling around with that when you're trying to drive.It also has a very small spot inside off the rim where you're meant to stub out your cigarette. That could've been quite a bit wider, because you have to have really good aim as that hasn't got its own glow, either. I end up doing it by touch if I'm driving (I'm not one of those jerks who hurls butts into the slipstream).It's quite a bit taller than I thought it would be when ordering. I could easily get more than a pack's worth of butts in there if I wanted to be lazy and not empty it for a long time. But its height does mean it's a pain to save a half-smoked cigarette in it because it drops to the bottom and has to be dredged out.The outside just wipes clean and stays shiny. I haven't cleaned the inside because I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be submersing anything electronic. Hey, it's an ashtray, and it has a lid to cover up any ash that remains when it gets emptied.Overall, it seems pretty sturdy, and it serves its primary purpose - keeping me from ashing everywhere but the ashtray in the dark in a car with an annoying design flaw in its center.I've had it about a year and the cyan glow keeps glowing. For its higher price, I hope it keeps glowing for many years to come. If/when it doesn't, I'll try to remember to come back and update with how long it lasts.

It's actually pretty and functional. The light on the inside is super handy. I always lose my lighter at the worst time so having one built in that is also removable is a game changer. It seals tight when closed so no smell leaks out and I can easily fit it under the seat and out of sight when needed. It doesn't spill!! Easy to empty, perfect size. Love it.

Top heavy. Easy to clean, however, after a few months of taking the lid off to empty it the nubs that lock the lid into place wore down and the lid no longer locked into place. So each time I tried to lift the item to empty it the lid would come off causing the bottom to fall and spill the contents all over my console. The design made it difficult to “rest” my cigarette in the provided area, the cigarette would fall into the bottom and I would have to remove the lid to retrieve it. I eventually let the battery run down for the lighter because the blue light, although awesome looking, was a bit too bright for me at night and became distracting (but I have night blindness). The lighter worked well. I feel this was a high price to pay for the quality of product. I would not purchase this again.

I bought this ashtray for a cross country trip in an Audi A4. I mention the car not to sound pretentious but to say that it fits perfectly in the cupholder, no rattling noise.We never used the lighter but the charge for the LED light lasts FOREVER before it needs a charge. To fully charge it again takes 2-3 hours. The light is bright enough to see where your cigarette goes but not so bright that it distracts the driver.We also loved that it came with a lid so the ashtray doesn't smoke after you put your cigarette out. We had a cheap car ashtray on a previous trip and always had to put some water on the bottom to avoid smoke escaping.Neither my husband not I had trouble finding the ashtray while driving to put a cigarette out. The metal grate at the top is perfect for stubbing out butts.I'd say it holds maybe 20-30 cigarette butts.Press the button and pull the top up to open. Once you get the hang of it, it's fine. The twist cap to dump the ashtray can be a little finicky to get back on. Line the notches on the lid up with the holes and twist. Don't try to line up the lid and cup line pattern when putting the lid on or you'll never get it on.It doesn't do a great job of holding lit cigarettes. You have to balance it in a certain way and any bump or curve in the road will knock your cigarette in the ashtray. You're going to have to hold your cigarette if you're driving it else risk it falling into the ashtray.I'd definitely buy this again. It was one of the best purchases for our trip.
