Deviant King: A Dark High School Bully Romance

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.7️⃣5️⃣This book was so much better than Cruel King. I read that one a few weeks back and put Deviant King off because I wasn't that impressed with CK. But, this one pulled me out of a slump. I ate it up over the course of a day.Is it a phenomenal read? Not really. It's just a good time. It reads easy. It brought some exciting angst - not too much, not too little, just the right amount. The writing is good. The character dialog is decent. I appreciated the number of interactions between the mmc and fmc. All too often there isn't enough of it to convince me that the mc's actually do grow to care about each other. That is not the case here. They really do get a lot of scenes together. Loved that!I'm anxious to hop into Book Two, Steel Princess. So, that's what I'm off to do, 😉.

This book was everything I wanted it to be plus more! I am in love with Aiden and he is 100% my new book boyfriend for the next few months. I am also in love with Elsa because she will not back down (my kind of women). I have heard of Rina Kent for awhile now and BookTok finally convinced to pick up one of her books. I have absolutely no regrets! Just Wow! Complete and utter astonishment. Like Rina you really have the audacity to come out here and be writing books that speak to my soul! How am I going to find a real life man now. None will ever compare to Aiden :'(Note: Please start to read this book during the day and not at 10PM like I did last night to only stay up till 3am. Each chapter feels like it leaves you on a cliffhanger and you cant help but keep going. Rina chose violence writing this book. I woke up this morning and pulled out my debit card so fast to buy the next two books to continue this story I thought to myself "even the Flash cant beat me to it" haha!

The first book I read of this series and author was actually the most recently published, so since she’s written 30+ books by 2023 of course the writing and plot was well written.However if you’re going to start at the beginning of the series like me with a book like this one the writing will not be as good neither will the plot.If you personally dislike the love interests constantly grabbing random side characters to make the other jealous (immature and toxic) then don’t read this one. Thankfully her most recent books have learned to use much less jealousy and the author now understands if you’re going to use the jealousy method make sure the people aren’t actually interested in each other. It’s painful to read if you find cheating unforgivable.That being said I’ll continue to read this author with the understanding of course the most recently published books are the best written.

I made the mistake of starting it half an hour before work and lets just say was the worst mistake ever as i read 9% of it come work start time and i was dying for more even contemplated calling in sick lol so had to wait 8 hours for my shift to be over to get back into it and lets just say it was not pleasant lol. But once i got home i refused to put it down until i had finished it. I read Cruel King in Noble savages and i loved it so much i wanted more, so when i heard of this series i had to have it and the wait was so worth every second. Elsa is new and as soon as she enters the school she is warned to stay away from the Elite especially Aiden King, but Aiden has other ideas. Aidens first words to her are "I will destroy you". Ok so im not going to give anything away but if you love bully romance this is the book for you, keep in mind its a trilogy and this is just the first and lets just say it leaves you with a wtffffffffff but its so worth it . I devoured this book in a few hours and i loved it so much i reread it. I cannot wait for the next one , i also cant wait for all of this series to come on paperback so i can own them all. You dont have to read Cruel king to read this one but i do recommend it as it is just as good as this and you get to meet Aiden for the first time. BRING ON THE NEXT ONE !!!
