JJ Suspenders was created with the goal of designing fresh, high quality suspenders within a not-so-innovative industry.In 2014 founders Jackson and Josh were shopping for suspenders to wear at a friend’s wedding and after visiting dozens of shops all they could find were a handful of generic, outdated and overpriced suspenders. When looking for alternatives online, they quickly found that about 90% of the suspenders on the market were low quality and mass-produced by the same factory. The only suspenders that met Jackson and Josh’s quality standards were from a very old company in England. But with this came high shipping costs, outdated designs, and poor customer service. It was clear there was an opportunity in this stale industry to make a much better product for men who wanted to add that extra bit of class to their outfits. Combining Jackson & Josh’s (JJ’s) prior entrepreneurial and manufacturing experience, JJ Suspenders was born with a series of designs that brought some much-needed innovation back into this stagnant industry. Clip On Vs Button On Clip-ons can be attached to almost any trouser or pant, so they are the more versatile of the two. Plus, they are considered a tad more casual and look especially snazzy with city-shorts, funky jeans and fashion-forward attire. Suspenders that button on are considered a tad more formal than clip-ons. Y-BACK VS. X-BACKWhen suspenders cross in back like the letter "X", they are known as X-back. If, instead, they join around the mid-back and become a single strap, like a "Y", then they are called Y-back. Of the two, Y-back are considered the more up-to-date and on-trend. While X-back do have two straps that attach to the back-waistband - compared to a Y-back's single strap. The Y-back is the top choice of suspender aficionados.

Who needs a belt anyway?
So I have never really been a suspenders kind of guy. I am usually wearing a leather belt for all my pants. But I will be honest, as much as I hate the hipster look, I like the look of suspenders. Aside from the style, I did also buy it as a legit alternative to the belt because my belt tends to leave a buckle imprint when I sit down at my work desk. That is like 8 plus hours of the belt buckle jabbing my gut as I sit.So after I received these, I love the look. I did avoid the hipster look by getting the wider suspenders. They are very well made. I like that they can be attached buy button or by the clamps. None of my pants are ready made for suspenders so I can’t use the button attachments. I use the clamps to attach to my pants. Now I have owned suspenders back when I was a kid and I remember the clamps always coming off when I lean over or arch my back. I was afraid this would happened again. To my pleasant surprise they have improved the clamp method by adding plastic teeth that add more bite to the clamp. I have bed sheet suspenders with the same clamp style and they do not come off unless you unlock the clamp. So that is a very bit relief and a huge plus.When I sit it feels great. It does feel weird with no belt as I am so used to a belt. But these suspenders do hold my pants up and look very stylish. They are fully adjustable. No matter what dress sure I am wearing, these black suspenders match. The clamps are brass color. And the back where it splits into the two front straps, there is a very nice leather cover. I like these suspenders a lot as I think they look good for work and for going out.I did receive this item at a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Fine Styling
Some guys are belt guys. And some hate wearing belts. I belong to the latter group, much preferring to have my pants held up with suspenders than feeling the constriction of a belt. Though these are a formal style, I think they are perfectly suited to everyday use. Only some dress pants have the buttons for the leather strap portion at the end but if you don't want to use them, there is a snap you can undo to remove them and just have the snaps at the bottom. They are timeless and classic with fine styling.I am five feet ten inches and 200 lbs. These adjusted very quickly and the snaps are easy to fix and remove from your pants. The stitching is very tight and all the materials used are top shelf quality. These are a step up from the suspenders you find in the big box stores. Quality really makes a difference and you can tell it every time you put these on. Sample for fair review.

cute easily for men or women!
This came quickly and looks exactly as shown. The quality of the metal clasps are pretty durable. The leather straps that would connect to buttons also was really well made. The suspender themselves were a good thickness and easy to adjust. Note the leather straps that can be use to attached by button easily can be removed so if you do not use them you dont need to have them still on. Great option. One of my straps were placed into the buckle twisted but I could see the metal clasp that held it in. I was able to easily just bend it up to release the strap , untwist and install back in. I'm just this was a minor defect. Since it was so easy to fix I did not try to contact the seller. Overall I like the feel of the suspenders and would highly recommend them =)This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Regardless that I'm asked to review a product all my opinion are completely my own! I always read other reviews before purchasing any product myself and rely on them myself. If there is a product that I find is not 5 stars I will always contact the seller first to see if the issue can be resolved, and will note this. I've been really fortunate I have only had a few handfuls of products to date that have been not turned out great. I will also like to note I generally am allowed to choose what I pick to product test so more often then not these are products I'm looking forward to testing or already thinking of purchasing. Therefore less likely to be disappointed. That being said if you check my reviews I have not been shy to rate any product less then 5 including the lowest rating if it is warranted. Great, stylish product and excellent customer service
Great product, right from placing the order to receiving them and trying them on. I even got a personalized e-mail from JJ when I placed my order, which I thought was a nice touch (even if it's a bit gimmicky). It was pretty great opening up the little white box and smelling the real leather...and they look great! I would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking to up their style.

If you want to wear button on, just buy button on. These are not really dual unless you are alright with the clips hanging out on them with no purpose as others have explained.

Nice looking suspenders
We received the suspenders fairly quickly from the time we request them to when we received them. The suspenders are nice looking and very durable. The suspenders has metal clasps and leather button straps. The metal clasp are good quality and hold the pants or jeans well. The leather button straps are removable in case you only need the metals clasp. My husband only uses the metal clasp to adhere them to his dress pants or jeans. He is losing a lot of weight so he depends on suspenders to help him with him pants while he is between sizes. He likes how they look and feel but they do not stretch. They do not have much give so they are not adjustable. We are received these suspenders at a discounted price in exchange for my families opinion.
