Although this Davines hairspray is a little pricy, it is by far one of the cleanest and non-sticky or stiff hairsprays I've found. I've tried other less expensive hairsprays but have found they are inferior quality, and not that much less expensive in comparison. There are also many others out there that are more expensive, so given the quality vs price, this is a relatively good value. Davines products have one of the highest standards in the industry and I've been using them for 15+ years and am never disappointed. The scents are clean and lovely. Of all the high-end haircare products, Davines are the most environmental conscience. Love their products!

This is a great strong hold hair spray. Holds without the sticky build up. I love the scent. They have a very good product line and wide range of products.

This is hands down the best hairspray ever made. It’s strong hold, yet workable. It feels so lightweight in your hair. The scent is an added bonus!!! I’m addicted!!!

This is a great hairspray. It is not clumpy, heavy, sticky, or thick. Perfect amount of hold. This company has a lot of great products and this is certainly one of them. I know it is kind of pricey, but a little goes a long ways like all of their products.

One of my favorite hairsprays that I use daily. After I put a little styling paste in my hair, I lightly and sparingly spray this Davines product over my hair then use my fingers to style my hair further. Because it dries so quickly it is ideal for styling. Of note, my hair is very fine and straight. Also of note, I then use a second hairspray also sparingly to set the hair style.

Edit: I emailed Davines and posted on Facebook. I'm giving them another star for their quick response to my FB post. Initially their customer service said they hadn't changed the fragrance since 2014 but then I got this response: "Thank you for following up. My apologies for the delay. I just spoke with one of my colleagues who works more with our styling lines. We did change the fragrance of the More Inside line in 2016 because of issues with the fragrance in Europe. We have a different formulation of the product in the US and didn't have any issues here, but still changed the fragrance here to be consistent. So the hairspray that you were using before purchasing a new one likely has the pre-2016 fragrance." I asked if I could lobby to hair the scent changed back and/or return the $30 spray for something else or get my money back because it's basically wasted and this was their response: "I do apologize for this. While we don’t have anything available to sign as a petition, the best way to let us know is reaching out to us directly here, which you already did. I make note of the customer feedback we receive here so that we can use comments in discussions about future products and changes. Unfortunately, I cannot issue you a refund for the hairspray you purchased from Amazon because we did not fulfill your order. I understand that this is not an ideal answer. I hope you’ll still consider using Davines products and purchasing them from a Davines salon or davines.com. Through those channels we are able to assist with order issues. Unfortunately, the fragrance is the same for all of our aerosols in this line. I do apologize for the inconvenience. If you want to check for more of the pre-2016 hairsprays at a local salon, check for a 7-digit lot number on the bottom of the can with 5 as the 4th digit. Let me know if you have any questions." So basically if you loved the old smell and don't know how you will like the new one, try it somewhere local first or order directly from Davines. DO NOT ORDER FROM AMAZON. Amazon will not take aerosol items back. Original post: I have been using Davines products for a few years and when I moved from CA to KY for work, I couldn’t find a distributor. My stash of strong hairspray ran out so I re-ordered via Amazon only to find the new hairspray smells like some kind of vanilla monstrosity. There is no way I can use this hairspray and then go to work smelling like rotten cotton-candy. What gives? Who thought this new smell was okay? The old smell was perfect and this one is a huge pivot.

I have been a huge fan of Davines hairspray for years. I was first introduced to it at the hair salon where I get my haircut. During several times over the past few years, I have tried to order it from Amazon, but each time I have been gravely disappointed with the quality of the product. It doesn’t seem to be the same product at all. the most recent purchased is and what I would consider a defective container. It takes me pressing on it with two fingers as hard as I can to get it to spray at all, all the while it is oozing spray at the top of the nozzle. The times before that I ordered it either the sent or the hold were not right. This is a very expensive hairspray and I am sure that Amazon needs to know that the quality is not as it should be. Someone in quality control needs to check into the third-party vendor that is supplying this. I have learned my lesson and will now only purchase it through a salon. I was sad to have to do this, as it is so much easier to obtain quick delivery from Amazon .

It might be a little expensive, but it's the best hairspray I've ever used. Doesn't leave your hair stiff but keeps it in place.

I live in the UAE, I have a Slavic hair type, which is easy to style in Russia, but in a humid climate they become unruly and fluffy. I bought this spray to remedy the situation, I tried to apply it in different ways: before styling, after styling and together, but nothing has changed. The hair only became stiff, and because of this it was easier to deform.
