What are the active ingredients?

There are no active ingredients. If you look carefully at the ingredient label, it lists several herbal substances as 'active ingredients', but the units given are "30C". This is defined as a concentration / dilution of 10 to the −60. According to wikepedia, this level of dilution "would require giving two billion doses per second to six billion people for 4 billion years to deliver a single molecule of the original material to any patient." In other words, there is not a single molecule of any of the listed 'active ingredients' in this product. (Any homeopathic product with a dilution of 13C or greater does not contain a single molecule of the diluted substance). The only actual ingredients in this product are the inert fillers (listed under "inactive ingredients" on the label): Sorbitol, Separating Agents (magnesium stearate and sterilized talc) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeopathic_dilutions

What does this do exactly? make you fall asleep? or stay awake? i don't have to take a sleeping pill before my overnight flight if i take this then?

My travel nurse explained it this way. You take them while flying and when you arrive at your destination you are more in sync with the local time zone. So if home time is 8 pm but local time is noon you feel more awake. If home time is 2 pm but local time is 11 pm you are ready to go to sleep.

Is this product gluten free?

Yes, it’s gluten free. It’s also free of any substance or compound that has any effect on jet lag. Your mind — re: the belief that this product *could* be effective — is a powerful tool. I take it sleep and to stay awake? So it is okay to take on my red eye flight and the morning when I arrive for a full day of plans?

I don't take it to sleep or stay awake--it doesn't seem to affect either. It just works to prevent jet lag once you arrive--and I have found it to work.
