I know nothing about dentistry and the use of mirrors, but do know quality when I see it. These are rhodium plated mirrors, a specialized coating that make them more durable and reflective. They are solid and all made it through shipping. Shipping can be disastrous at times, but they were in a bubble envelope that protected them well.The mirrors are approximately 1/8” thick and are individually wrapped in a Saran Wrap-like plastic. Undoubtedly, I won’t be using them for dental work, but can think of several other uses for them. Comparatively, they are priced well, inexpensive actually. I’ve seen a single mirror go for about the price of one online. Highly recommended!

I ordered these for a different purpose. I ordered them to check the azimuth of my stylus cantilever on my turntable cartridges (aka the needle in laymen's terms). With standard mirrors the reflective surface is adhered to the back of a pane of glass so there is always a gap between the object and its reflection equal to double the thickness of the glass. The cantilever/stylus should always be perfectly straight from top to bottom. You can check by resting it on a mirror. If the reflection is angled to the left or the right, it means it is off and will need to be adjusted. This can be difficult to do with a standard mirror due to the gap. Not so with these mirrors. Take a look at the two images for an example. These are "first reflection" mirrors. I did a search for others that were too high.ly priced for my purpose. I'm suuper glad I found these. If I were the manufacturer I'd consider selling the smaller mirror separately as a stylus cantilever azimuth mirror. They work great! :)

This set of five mirrors for oral seeing is far larger than intended, and they have actually proven more useful for other uses. The mirrors are crystal clear, and they came wrapped in plastic to avoid scratches. After they have been removed and cleansed, they can be used immediately to examine the parts of the mouth and teeth in issue. These mirrors have been rhodium plated, which is a particular treatment that makes them more durable and reflective. They are all sturdy and survived transport. Shipping might be dangerous at times, but they were well-protected by a bubble package.
