You probably could wire up a 4 or 7 plug, but I would caution you that your vehicle's wiring may not be able to handle the load on the wire and catch fire. Even though you do not want to run an extra battery for your winch, it would be the safest option.

Can I winch a 1200 lb dead horse into my dump trailer with this?

My ex wife weighed 1240 pounds, it would not pull her into my dump trailer.

Anyone know the amperage of this? Looking to run cable to this and want to make sure i have the right gauge

the unit is rated at 20 amp for a 2000 lb pull, 10 gauge automotive wire is heavy enough to handle up to 30 amp.
