Wish I Had Bought It Sooner
First, the positive. This is the perfect desk for anyone that needs a work station, but has limited space. Like a lot of people, I was suddenly thrust into working from home due to the COVID-19 situation, but was far from prepared for it. I didn't have a designated area that I could really set up a desk, so I spent 2 months working off a laptop literally on my lap, while sitting in a living room chair. I finally broke down and bought this table/desk and I'm kicking myself now for not doing it sooner. You can maneuver the desktop in so many directions, it's very easy to find a comfortable position and you can raise or lower it quite a bit to work with almost any seating situation. It's easy to move into place when you're ready to work and easy to just "put away" when you are finished. There are a few cons, though.1) The assembly directions leave a lot to be desired. None of the pages of directions are in any semblance of order. None. Have someone who has patience put this thing together for you. It'll still take about an hour, but it'll keep other things from being broken... because you'll want to throw pieces & parts across the room.2) At the lowest point, the desktop area sits about 5-6 inches above the tabletop when put away (not in use). It's not feasible to actually use the table as a nightstand or end table when not being used actually as a desk workstation, unless you never put the desktop back into a "resting" position.3) Price. It is a little pricey for a small workstation, but this really is the only thing on the market like this (that I could find). I feel like it's overpriced, but after working on it for a day or two, I'd still buy it again.

Received order quickly and it is a great product.
I ordered this for my mom. She has had a stroke and cannot use her right arm. She wanted a table she could do puzzles on. The swivel arm on this product is perfect sitting beside her recliner. She can easily move the desk. The design does not interfere with her recliner motion. I put a clamp on lamp on the desk and she is all set.If you have not assembled anything before you will find this moderately difficult and I suggest you find a friend to assist. If you have assembled lots of things then you will only be puzzled a few times. The directions direct you to watch a You Tube video, but it says "video unavailable" . The main thing is to get all of the pieces out and arrange them in order by the stick on numbers. Do not dump the hardware out of the packages until you need them or you will not know which screw to use where. My instruction pages were not in order, so once we realized that it was a little easier. Once it is finished it is worth the effort.

Designed for your right side, but works on the left. Overpriced for the quality. And...
Functions as intended, though for this price quality should be much better. My wife works from the far left side of the couch (her left while she's sitting down) so the drawers and shelf have to face backwards, however, that's not so bad since she can reach over the couch arm and open them. It might not be how other people want to orient it.Instructions are pretty bad; I am an engineer and build stuff all the time. They were out of order, but they were numbered. Don't do what I did! First, make SURE you got all the parts before you start. Next, read each step CAREFULLY or you may have to go back and unassemble some and reassemble. NOTE: the boards came with numbers, two of mine were numbered wrong and therefore fit was slightly off, and I almost returned the thing until I figured out I had the wrong piece. So don't trust the numbers. The drawers have no rails or even little plastic things to slide on, they just slide on the shelf they sit on and there's no catch to keep them from falling out. What I really don't like is the locking screw on the table. If you tighten it down, it holds it both rotation-ally and vertically. If you have it semi-tight and move it, it seems to scratch the post. So we leave it loose, and it sinks to the bottom position whenever not in use. To fix this, I am putting in a 2 inch (5cm) black PVC spacer on the post between worktop and the base to hold it at the exact height we need and then it can freely rotate. Finally, the casters: They do lock, but the cheap plastic wheel still slides easily on my hardwood floor. Also one of the casters was broken right out of the box. I am replacing with quality non-marring polymer castors from a hardware store. There's an almost identical item on Amazon for $30 less. Search for "BarleyHome Functional Bedside Table Adjustable & Swiel Wooden Nightstand". Still overpriced in my opinion.
