Q: Has anyone used the vent mount on vertical vents? Is the clamp strong enough for an iphone? Do the vents flop from side to side when you corner?

I use this on my vertical vents (11 Pro Max). For the first year or so, it worked fine but won’t stay in place if you’re taking a tight turn. After that, the clamp seemed to lose its tightness and now won’t hold its place on the vent slat so, my phone weighs it down and it falls off.

Q: Will it work to hold a garmin gps that doesn't have a vent mount and included mount wouldn't hold on any surface?

It's worth a try but honestly, I doubt it will hold. You can always return it if it doesn't work.

Q: Does the dash need to be totally smooth or will it stick to a textured dashboard?

You can stick it to just about any surface, just make sure it's clean and dry. . It will work better if you let it set for a few hours before pulling on it.

Q: Can it be used on iphone xr and still be able to charge wirelessly?
