Lubricate before installing
For the price this is a good deal however it arrives overtightened. Removing the filter (not the sediment bowl) may require a filter wrench if the gasket between the housing and the spin on filter is not lightly lubricated with oil. I consider the replacement of the entire spin on filter and sediment bowl much easier and limits fuel spills and leakage in the boat or marina. The assembly can be purchased without the housing on Amazon.

one time use then throw away & replace everything. it’s effectively a permanent assembly; you cannot replace the filter

Does not come apart easily
So, the price was too good to be true. When installing these you must apply oil to the rubber gasket so that you can spin it off for replacement. It was virtually impossible to do this because the filter was already attached to the fitting and is stuck. I wish they had left it in two pieces. To use this now i will have to uninstall my old bracket. What a pain.
