Yes I suppose you could. But I would remind you that rain would not be good for the screen over time. Some advice on fitting: Hold the screen up against the door before you fit the sticky strips, in order to make sure it fits your frame suitably. Especially Length. The center of my screen is a little short compared to the surround. A little over lap to the ground/floor will seal completely against bugs.

My door open into the kitchen and my screen is on the outside of the door and so far is still good. Stays in place when going in and out to the garden.
