My natural yogurt turned a lovely purple colour and tasted really good.
I was pleased to try this 'Organic Super Berry Blend - Freeze Dried Powder - Blueberry, Blackcurrant, Acerola Cherry, Maqui & Acai - Superfood Mix - Antioxidant Rich (125g Powder Pouch)'. I am diabetic and so do not have real sugar or most carbs, so this will be great to try in my breakfast natural yogurt - I usually have a handful of fresh blueberries in it.1. You get 125 grams of this organic super berry blend in a neat branded pouch. There is a tear off portion along the top and then you can reseal with the closure inside. The pouch is the type that stands up on its own, so makes storing in the cupboard easier.2. It contains organic freeze dried - blackcurrant powder from New Zealand, blueberry powder from Peru, Macai berry powder, Acerola cherry powder and acai berry powder from Brazil.3. It suggests you have 2 teaspoons per day and I added such to my 100 grams of full fat natural yogurt and mixed it in. It turned a lovely purple colour and tasted really good. I could differentiate the blackcurrant and I think, cherry flavour. It isn't too sharp - no sharper than natural yogurt is on its own. It gave it a nice fruity flavour and reminded me of a flavoured shop bought yogurt. Possibly others may want to add a teaspoon of runny honey but I am used to not having sweet things.4. It suggests that you use the contents within 6 months of opening. The best before date on the my pouch is 03/2024. It is made in the UK from ingredients from other countries, is vegan suitable, organic and does not have any gluten, soy, added sugar or other nasties. The pouch is fully recyclable.5. The current price of £18.99 seems quite expensive for 125 grams, in my opinion, although it will save me money buying fresh blueberries each week, so will work out cheaper in the long run.

80p a day for powder
I appreciate that some people are stuck on a spaceship (or permanently in the office). If you are, I recommend clubbing together and getting fresh fruit delivered which is cheaper, tastier and, as a nutritionist once explained to me, whole fruit is better for you. It is more filling. It allows you to absorb fruit sugars more slowly, and it is less likely to give you the runs. These are super fruits - but they are also powder. The powder makes nice, slightly acidic, drinks. I am also impressed that this brand, unlike some others, does not have dubious xylitol or stevia added to it. It may be something good to have around. But if you are at home, have you considered frozen berries in the freezer to put in your morning porridge? Or tasty dried cranberries? I will drink this, but I am not sure I want to live like an astronaut.

Fine powder, vivid colour, fruity but slightly sour taste
I’ve been eating cereals for breakfast most days and I like to add various powders (fibre, nuts, vitamins) for some extra nutrients. I do tend to prefer ones that are berry flavoured. This is a small 125g pouch but I only use about a teaspoon of this at a time. What I like about this is it really is just natural ingredients with no added sugars or fillers. The powder is very fine and does mix into other ingredients well. It looks very dark in the pouch but mixes into quite a pale purple. I do like the flavour of this, it is slightly sour (not something I’d usually like) but in a fresh way.The pouch I wasn’t keen on. The resealing strip is a bit like velcro and the powder gets stuck in it. Also when opening the bag some of the powder does try to escape from the top.I really like the product inside – the powder is for me and I am enjoying it. Not totally keen on the pouch. Currently retailing at £18.99, seems a little expensive for 125gms.

Good quality freeze dried berry powder
This Organic Super Berry Blend comes packaged in a resealable pouch that apparently is 100% recyclable. However, the packaging doesn't go into details of what it's made of or how to recycle it, which would have been helpful.Apart from that, the packaging is very good. It's bright, colourful and clearly lists the ingredients and nuttritional information. The berry powder is vegan and certified by the Soil Association, with nothing of concern in the ingredients. I did however note that the packaging doesn't mention Vitamin C or Anthocyanins, which are listed in the ingredients here. The five berries included are Acerola Cherry, Blackcurrant, Blueberry, Maqui Berry and Acai Berry, variously sourced from Brazil, Peru and New Zealand. Nutritionally it's mainly carbs and fibre, with only a little salt. The powder itself is a reddish brown colour but when I put just a teaspoon full into my granola in the morning it quickly turns it purple. That's my preferred way to eat it - the packaging just says to take no more than two teaspoons a day but I wouldn't just want to eat two teaspoons full without mixing it with something. The powder is very finely milled - though it does clump together a little in the bag there are no solid bits in it.The taste is great, I like berries and there's a definite berry taste to this powder. I don't think it's excessively sweet and I need all the fibre I can get so this is a great addition to my breakfast. It's very expensive at almost £19 for 125g but seems like it's very good quality so I have to say that I am very happy with this berry powder.

Powdery and wont completely dissolve.
This was tried by me two ways One with some pop and two with plain water. Both cases resulted in a powdery liquid which was unpleasant on the tongue. The flavour is very berryish but tannic with zero sweetness.Great to use as a smoothy base I think as you wont notice the powder then and will have some fruit sweetness likely to balance out the tannin and sharpness.I think it is ok but found I needed a lot per use even a cup was a heaped tablespoon so this is probably quite dear to use.
