Scholastic Teacher's Friend High Frequency Level 1 Word Wall Words (TF2401)

This is perfect in my ESL classroom for 1st and 2nd graders. I plan on getting the blue set (the next level) for grades 3-4. It is so helpful to tell students to refer to the word wall for spelling help. The only thing I slightly dislike is having to cut out the words, and the amount of red boarder around the sides is a little excessive. All in all, very satisfied with the product.

I took off one star because the entire set isn't perforated, you still have to do quite a bit of cutting. After laminating each piece and adding magnetic tape to the back, they're great for my interactive whiteboard word wall. The bold colors make the words visible from any area of the classroom.

I used a big poster board to make a sight word "wall". My daughter and I practice a few times a week. I just taped these to the poster board and they work great! I keep trying to think of new games we can play includes the sight words and she loves it!

It is only laminated on one side, so if you want more durability you would have to laminated. Other than that, I really love how much time I have saved by using this set!

Good quality for price.

This is my second set of these. Good size--large enough to view from opposite end of the classroom and small enough to fit in limited wall space. You may want to consider adding Level 2 Words for words needed for advanced students.

Love that you can get in different colors for different levels. Came as listed. Wish that there wasn't so much space before and after the word. Makes it kind of hard to fit well on the Word Wall Word board- have to cut yourself if you want it shorter.

There are most of words that I would have like to seen in this set. The cards are a little thinner than I expected.

I bought these to add to my word wall words but, while I appreciated the easy tearable edges, not all of the pieces are perforated. You will need to cut in between the words for some odd reason. Also, these come as pages of words but in order to make a full page some of the words are given an extra big red boarder which meant I had to trim them down so they didn’t look ridiculous and fit with the rest of my words. All in all they do what they’re supposed to do and the added inconvenience of cutting is easy enough to overlook.

They were what I expected. Perforated horizontally but had to cut words apart vertically. Not a big deal.
