Another great read from Neve...
This one compared to Dedicated?? As alike as chalk and cheese 😜. This was sooo much better than book 1 of this series [for me anyhoo], and I think it could probably be read as a standalone if you wanted, although you would be missing out on some of the backgrounds to various characters. This is a well-written, fairly angst-free zone story 🎉🎉🎉. 4.5 stars and 💜💛💙💚🧡 hearts from me.A lovely slow-burn romance between Daniel, 40 something owner of Grim's record store in Nashville and former recording star, and his younger, ditzy employee Owen, whom I absolutely loved. Dan came with baggage aplenty, and although he was aware of Owen, thought it best to keep strictly to employer/employee rules, but he couldn't resist being pulled into Owen's orbit 😍... We have a teeny, tiny catch-up with Les and Evan of Dedicated, meet Dan's younger, seemingly waste of space brother Aiden, and get to know some of the artists that Dan calls friends although he is a fairly private guy.Hope the next one is about Aiden and Jessup Polk...there should be fireworks. 😉

Slow Burn with Hot Couple
I really enjoyed Nene Wilder's new novel Resonance. I hadn't read the first in the series, and while it seems some characters had already been introduced it can definitely stand alone (although I now want to go back and read book one!). The story centres around Owen, a young aspiring song writer with a colourful and upbeat nature, and his slightly grumpy record-store-owning boss Dan. Dan was famous as a country music artist in his youth but walked away from the career, holding on to much of his past in memorabilia he has at his shop. Surprisingly, it is bouncy Owen who seems to carry more baggage. This is a slow burn romance and it takes a long time for the two protagonists to move beyond casual hookups and work relationships, but when they do it is full force. For a longer book I did find a bit lacking - a few things weren't quite cleared up (although maybe that will happen in future books), and I would have liked to see a bit more of their developing relationship that was hinted at in the epilogue. Overall solid book with a sweet romance and really endearing characters.

Great slow burn romance
Resonance is another cracker by Neve Wilder, I can’t wait to read more by this amazing author. This is an employee/boss relationship set in the wonderful music world of Nashville. There is an age gap but its not a major part of the story so of this is something you are not keen on usually I would urge to give this book a go as it really is so much more.I was totally hooked on this book after the first chapter, Owen is a great character, sweet, adorable and definitely has no filter. His word vomits are hilarious, the phrase think before you speak could have been invented for him! He has a vulnerability to him which is explored wonderfully, his character has real depth and I loved how he eventually opened up and went after what he truly wanted.Dan has loved and lost both in his career and personal life, he’s getting on with life without actually living just existing but then Owen comes in and shakes all that up. He also has things to work through before he can really admit what he wants but when he does its so beautiful. These boys have chemistry off the charts and this is portrayed amazingly well, I’ll never look at a sauna the same way again!!I’m looking forwards to the next instalment, hoping for Aiden’s story.

Music lovers
This is the first book I've read by this author and although it's the second in the series, it can be read as a standalone. This is a slow burn romance between Owen and his boss Dan, who initially don't seem to match. Owen is bubbly, happy and has trouble not sharing every thought in this head. Dan walked away from a successful music career and now owns a chain of music stores, where his love of keeping all memorabilia isn't proving to be profitable. This is an enjoyable book which takes it's time getting to the romance but feels authentic.

Great MCs. Lovely slow burn...and hot!
I think I just fell in love with Owen! Neve Wilder has drawn here a wonderful, funny, sweet, attaching absolutely lovely MC with an irresistible, non-stop, vebal flow, amazing fashion taste and a big heart. And grumpy, broken, generous Dan is just as attaching and sweet. Loved this couple and this slow burn, funny and romantic story where two very different men find a second chance at happiness. Hopefully waiting for Aiden's story now!
