YULIKTOR 1mm Elastic Bracelet String Cord Clear Stretch Bead Cord for Jewelry Making and Bracelet Making White (YU-AW)

I like this elastic for stringing bracelets with glass beads. I have tested my jewelry thoroughly after making it to be sure that I am selling a quality piece of jewelry using this cord. I tie square or doctor’s knots in most bracelets and then finish by adding a small dot of jewelry glue to the knot. I then slip the knot under a bead while the glue is wet so that the knot isn’t visible. This clear elastic has been mostly flawless for this type of piece. I have noticed that the elastic will stay stretched out slightly, yet this happens fairly easily when I wear the bracelets (because of stretching them over my hands to get on or take off). I always knot my bracelets tightly and I don’t leave any slack, but after a use or two, a small piece of the cord remains visible (which is not a dealbreaker, but I’d prefer that this not happen because it effects the overall look of the bracelet - it’s not as professional IMO when I can see the cord). Other than the elastic stretching about 3-5 mm after a few gentle uses, I have no complaints.Jewelry makers may want to know that this is thicker and not quite as stretchy as the kind you buy from craft stores for these projects. But those are also more expensive for a much smaller amount, so you have to decide if your budget allows for the more expensive product from hobby stores or if you can make do with this product and spend less money.

I had a necklace that I wanted to wear, but found that the elastic it originally had was completely stretched out. I searched for a solution and came across this product which, although it was not necessarily meant for necklaces, it certainly did the job!

No disappointment or dislike of any kind. Material works.

Good luck getting this off the reel. Both ends were buried in stretchy string. I finally had to just pull it out anywhere and cut it. The hole in the case looks convenient, but it’s useless. I spent 20 minutes untangling the mess just to get a meter long piece.It frays at the ends. I’ve never worked with this type of elastic before, so maybe that’s normal.I used the five knot method to make bracelets and it held up beautifully. I doubled the thread, made a knot in the end, slid the beads over my needle, the did the five knots. Very nice looking. So other than the case, frayed ends and tangles, good product.
