Better than I anticipated
Two things: My wife and I are sushi fans, we both love all Seafood. I’ve always wanted a sushi knife and I saw this as a great opportunity to see if I could properly use a sushi knife. It looks really good and has a decent edge as delivered. I have not yet sharpened it because I am in a sling from shoulder surgery. I’ll do an update after I recover and have a chance to use it!

Not terrible, but not good.
Stamped steel blade. OK quality steel.Very poor sharpening on the blade - too dull to be properly useful as delivered.I expected better from a Japanese made knife.Spent 30min sharpening, and it's now OK. Really had to work it to get a good edge. The handle is pretty, but is unfinished, so it will stain very easily. I immediately treated it with Mineral Oil to protect the wood, but I expect it will crack. Not bad enough to return, but certainly not a good knife.Should have bought an Opinel instead.

i like this knife
sometimes its nice to buy a cheap knife that you can treat like a old thing. I bought some super expensive knives from Japan for 600USD and this thing is better. The best part is that i can sharpen it with a wet stone without worrying about doing any damage. If i mess it up i'll just get another one. The handle is wooden and very comfortable. I feel like the best dishes i make are made with this one.
