Breakable rope worked to fix my Hamic

We haven't used it yet but after opening it I'm glad I chose to spend a little more and go with made in the USA instead of buying imported junk. The rope seems to be of very good quality. The ends were tightly taped so they don't fray. Nice to get something made with a little pride. Also nice to support American businesses instead of enriching China. Worth the few extra bucks.

I bought this exact rope a few years ago and it was soft and beautiful, perfect for my craft needs. I reordered it now and it came in with the same pretty look, but is hard and stiff. Either it isn't 100% cotton as claimed or a stiff coating has been added. The online description has not changed. My sewing machine cannot sew through it making it useless for my needs. I'm very disappointed especially considering the money I spent.

25' was enough to make two dog pull-chew-toys!   For each toy: Cut the rope in two (12.5 feet each), set one aside, double twice into four 3' (uncut sections) tie a knot in the middle of four lengths and immediately tie knots in the two loose ends, then cut three of the four  loops  at each end and tie knots on all the loose ends before they fray . You end up with six knotted ends and one loop handle for a pull-toy!  My Cocker Spaniel Puppies are in heaven.  Just supervise the pups at playtime (like you would  with any other destructible toy).  Tip :   Be sure to check and tighten the end-knots often to make sure they don't become undone!  If they do, the rope will unravel into an uncountable number of cotton strings!  (Good thing I learned to braid as a child!) I 'm thinking a hot water wash and dry may tighten things up, but haven't tried that yet!  Have fun and be creative with the other 12.5' length!

Overall quality of rope was great, which is the only reason I didn’t rate 1 star. Product description was inaccurate and left me short to finish a macrame project. I ordered 2 sets of 100 ft rope. Both sets of rope were not actually 100 ft. One was 98 ft and one was 94 ft, super frustrating. Items also arrived 5 days late. Annoyed/disappointed in this purchase

I will buy this quality product again and again! I repaired my cat's scratch post and it looks like new again! As soon as I was done, kitty went right over and had a good scratch. I did much research on what would work and came across many complaints about many different products that smelled. This product does not! I LOVE it!
