World's fastest GPU uArch at the time of this review
Absolute beast when it comes to 1080p-1440p gaming. Example: The Witcher 3 1080p Ultra settings with Hairworks enabled + max HW AA x8 and fps is around 105 Avg with highs of 174fps and lows of 89fps. The most surprising thing about it is how cool it runs even under heavy loads. Max 65C for brief moments and usually within 61-63C. The backplate is most definitely not for show although it does look classy, the thing really gets hot to the touch implying it is able to draw heat away from the critical components. Legendary EVGA build quality right there. Another outstanding feature of the uArch in particular is its ability to run the clocks down significantly along with lowered core voltages when running slightly older titles that are locked to 60fps. The amount of power being pulled is substantially low, in the 80-90W region. Under full loads the power draw is as expected at around 250-257W. I am no fan of Nvidia's business tactics and their general strategy with GameWorks but this thing is just peerless. The real shame here is that they have no competition from AMD in the Ultra enthusiast space. I got tired of waiting on Vega with the mediocre performance it had to offer versus what Nvidia had already in the market. The mining cancer was the final straw but I don't regret getting this card one bit, it is just that darn good. I was calculative enough to see the mining plague spreading well ahead of time before it affected higher end cards like the GTX 1080Ti so I am very happy to have got this at $749.99. This card should serve me for good 3-4 years before I even begin to think of an upgrade.

Absolute BEAST of a card
I upgraded from a 1060 to this and man, am I glad I did. This card is amazing. Makes all of my games look incredible and easily runs them at 60+ FPS at the very minimum. Installation and installing the drivers was easy and didn't take much time at all. The card is very quiet and only reaches about 50-60 degrees heat even when playing an extremely demanding game such as Total War Warhammer 2. My only nitpick really was the packaging it came in. I can tell that this card was used for bitcoin mining recently which I don't really care about since the card works great for me. However, it looks like EVGA just threw it back in the box and put some tape on the package and passed it off as new. I've heard of this being a problem with other buyers of the 1080ti but I guess I was one of the lucky ones that didn't get a broken card. Would prefer if EVGA labeled the cards as Used, rather then New to not mislead people into what they're buying. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this card to anyone looking to upgrade their GPU to one of the best cards on the market today.

Fantastic card.
If you want a playable experience on modern AAA titles at 4k with a single graphics card, this is your best option right now. I play Battlefield One avidly and my GTX1080 just couldn't handle my new 4k monitor, so I sold the card to a friend and bought this one. I haven't tracked actual frame rates yet as I just got it today, but gameplay feels smooth with very few hiccups. I think the 11GB of GDDR5x makes the biggest difference - my 1080's 8GB of memory was always pegged while this card gets to around 80 percent and system memory usage while gaming dropped by about 6gb, probably because this card can store more textures instead of swapping them. My card boosts to over 1900MHz, so I definitely agree with other reviewers that you will be rewarded for keeping them cool with higher speeds. As far as acoustics go, the card is quiet and barely audible under full load, but I think my MSI GTX 1080 with three fans was a bit quieter. The fans stay off when the card is idle. Also, I have no coil while whatsoever with this particular card, although this seems to vary from card to card. My 1080 was awful for that. I've only had it for a day, but I've already thoroughly been enjoying it. If you can hold off for a while longer, you may want to wait for the 1100 series Volta based cards at this point, but if you need the best right now, this is a solid bet.

Card failed with less than 2 years of moderate to light use.
Bought this card in September of 2019 and it failed a few months ago due to some unknown power failure in the card, computer runs fine after swapping out the GPU for a backup. Worse is EVGA who is often worshipped for their warranty and customer support is refusing to honor the 3 year warranty on a card that still falls well within that time frame and would rather give excuses as to why they won't and act like Asus and MSI instead of acting like a decent self-respecting and ethical company. Won't be buying from this company again since my only reason for buying from them is apparently null and void and I now would receive the same RMA experience from every major brand and it now makes no difference who I buy from. Oddly enough you can find verified accounts of them RMA'ing cards that fall well outside of warranty, have no proof of purchase, and have suffered some kind of abuse between sellers and buyers. Yet a card that should fall well within standard warranty periods is not and has no clear faults other than that of the assembly and manufacture at the factory. 1/5 for gaming, because it's dead. 5/5 for noise because it's dead and can't make any. 1/5 for tech support because it might as well be nonexistent and is as dead as their card.

Used for many years. The first GPU on my first custom PC. Performed decently at every game but eventually upgraded to a 3080 (which is hugely better) Gave it away on FB marketplace for like a hundo

Delivered three days faster than I expected it to arrive and that's always a nice surprise;. much appreciated amazon prime <3. So far it has worked great for me, specially the intensive work it has been put through. I bought another one since it went for sale -$50 of what I paid for and I'm thinking of gifting that to my gf since her bday is coming up and I'm building her a new computer to replace her almost 10 years old crappy one. She's not much of a gamer, but I am when I sleep over, so I gotta prep it more for me than her XD. Paired with the Ryzen, this GPU will do amazing things specially if you're a programmer or running multithreads. Gtx 1080 is already great, but if you want to overkill, go for the 1080 ti and you can't really go wrong with it. Just make sure you buy a double or triple fan gpu just like this one, so it runs cooler when running intensive programs/activity. Edit: Got another one that I was planning to buy for my gf and again it was delivered earlier than the expected date. I was expecting it on July 13 2017, and instead, I got it on July 07, 2017. I couldn't be any happier :)
