Q: How does it work in a continuously wet environment, like kayaking for 12-15 hours per day in wet shorts?

I don't kayak so don't get wet like that. But I do cycle 8 to 10 hours in the summer and it gets mighty hot & sweaty and those chamois lined shorts get .... moist. This stuff works very well and it's not gooey. I reapply it when I am off the bike, of course. I would definitely try it. I checked the package and it does say it's idea for kayaking and works with the special gear you wear for that.

Q: What is the difference between this and chamois cream?

ButtShield is a thin, invisible liquid in a roll-on bottle for easy application without getting your hands dirty. It lasts all day, is waterproof and does not need to be reapplied. Chamois cream is thick, white and usually has be be applied with your hands, sometimes creating a mess. It doesn't last all day, isn't waterproof and often has to be reapplied.

Q: Is this better than Buttshield Towelettes?

I love this product. So much easier as it rolls on like deodorant. It's easy to travel with and won't dry out. It also has staying power and doesn't get all over your hands. I run in very hot weather (95-100deg last summer) and it was great!
