Do any of the ingredients come from shell fish or animal by products?

Yes! Glucosamine supplement is derived from shell fish. Not animal

First bottle was great, second bottle was rancid, very bad taste. Can I get a replacement?

Well I would think so. I'm a consumer like you and if I got a bad bottle I would be calling and asking for a replacement. I haven't experienced this, every bottle I have bought has been good.

Does this get put in dogs water

I bought this for my cats, and incorporated it into their food. To be honest, not all the cats would eat the food when this was done! I suppose you could mix it into your dog's water, but you want to make sure the dog drinks the whole dose. The liquid is thicker than water, by the way.

What is the shelf life for this product?

This is the second bottle of this excellent product that I have bought. It needs no refridgeration. I give to my dog ready till it is gone.
