Stylish, Sturdy Glasses That Survive Real Life
I absolutely love these glasses. They feel solid and durable without being bulky, and the faceted sides plus tapered shape make them incredibly comfortable to hold—even for smaller hands. I’m tough on glassware, and these have officially passed the “clumsy test” in my house. The craftsmanship feels premium, and you can tell they’re built to last. The design is timeless—classic with a subtle mid-century modern vibe that reminds me of cafés and cafeterias. They look great on the table, work for everyday use, and feel like they’ll hold up for years. If you want well-made, sturdy glasses that are as stylish as they are practical, these are an easy yes.

Perfect Size, Great Feel in Hand
The Duralex Picardie tumblers are exactly what I was looking for. The size and volume are just right — versatile enough for water, cocktails, or everyday use without feeling oversized or delicate. What really stands out is how they feel in the hand. The shape is comfortable, balanced, and secure, with just enough weight to feel substantial without being heavy. They have that timeless, functional design that works equally well for daily use or when company’s over. They stack well, clean easily, and feel durable without sacrificing style. Simple, classic, and incredibly practical. I’ll definitely be adding more to the cabinet.

Glasses should not explode in the hand
I like the design of the glasses, and I like how they feel in the hand. I was going to buy the coffee mugs, they looked good to, but not anymore. About 30 minutes ago, I picked up a glass that was until then unused, and it exploded in my hand when I touched it. I have never had this happen before. I looked it up and found that the 'exploding glasses' phenomenon is not uncommon. I was cut on both hands, my face, and it scared hell out of the cat. (He is still hiding) If the manufacturer could tell me how common this is, I could make an informed decision as to whether or not I should keep the rest, or toss them. I like the glasses, but now don't trust using them. The glasses came in a set of six as I recall. Being a bachelor, I used, washed, and re-used the same two glasses for about a month. The others were untouched after washing. All of the glasses went through the dishwasher when they arrived, but only two were 'in circulation'. I hope this helps whoever might respond.

Good glasses, but my family prefers textured, plastic tumblers
I’m frugal, and debated on ordering these Duralex glasses because they are pricey compared to typical drinking glasses. After using them for some time, I really like them and think they are great drinking glasses. Here's why: * They look nice. * They are tempered glass (very durable) and resistant to breaking, cracking and chipping. (I even purposely dropped one on the floor a couple of times to test it.) * They can withstand sudden thermal shock, and can be used in the microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. * They are stackable without scratching up the glass. * They do not retain odors or stain like plastic does. * They look like new for a long time. * They are available in various sizes and designs, so you should be able to find a type that suits your needs. The one negative to me is, as I mentioned, they are more expensive than typical drinking glasses, but they should last much longer. However, my other family members prefer textured, plastic tumblers because they are lighter and less slippery (in general, but especially if hand washing). Obviously, it's a matter of personal preference. These glasses are made in France. Note: I see the price on these varies. I paid $32.50 for them, which is why I thought they were pricey. Ten months later, I see their current price is $24.27. THAT is much more reasonable!
