No. Not at all. It does not stay cold for more than 10 min. I use it for its purpose, scraping concentrates.

to anyone who might be looking for some way to actively cool an aluminum surface like this... assuming it would be helpful to your efforts to do so, i recommend you look for and research the cooling solutions that are used for gaming pc thermal management. i can imagine that maybe using a circulated water heat exchange method could be helpful but it would be very much married to within a few degrees of the ambient room temperature. what really caught my attention when i thought about your question is the peltier effect (hope i spelled that right) which uses an electrical current to draw the heat out of thermally conductive material (metals in all the cases i've seen) because with the primitive one i set up 15 years ago, i could easily lower the temperature of my processor to temperatures that were not viable for that application due to the condensation it would cause. in other words, it's like an inside out refridgerator, but it draws a lot of juice.
