The Milton Galaxia 2500 Insulated Stainless Steel Casserole is a great addition to any kitchen. It has a sleek, elegant design and a solid, durable build that feels premium. I love how it keeps food warm for hours, making it perfect for family meals or get-togethers. I am very pleased with this hot pot. I use it to keep food hot during dinner. Hot food normally gets pretty cool half way through dinner. I would have to get up from the table and microwave some foods because they were cooled off by the time I wanted a second helping.With this pot, I can have the food at the table during the meal. If I want seconds, I can just remove the lid and the contents are still (almost) as warm as when they were removed from the stove/oven. This works for liquids as well as things like veggies, mac & cheese, even pork chops (the pot is perfect for 3-5 chops depending on thickness). The pot is well made and the handle makes it easy to carry from the kitchen to the dining room table! I really like this pot, it has made some meals (where we are having hot foods) so much easier and people are not getting up and down to go reheat their food.

Here is what you may want to know: Inner dimensions: 9"W x 3 3/4"D (Outside: almost 12/1/2"(side w/ handles) x almost 10 1/4"W. For storing, you can turn the lid upside down and the height then is 5" tall. This didn't present as perfect upon arrival. It had a fair amount of black buildup (?), but you can literally scratch it off with your finger nail. Mine had only one small insignificant dent on the bottom, can't see it, so it was basically perfect when I cleaned the casserole before use. There was one BB-size black spot that did NOT come completely clean when I used my Cameo stainless steel powdered cleaner, but I can barely find that spot back, it's not noticeable at all. I bought another Milton casserole, of the same type, which IS perfect, no dents/spots at all. It has a really nice mirror finish. Fingerprints wipes off easily. Looks really nice on the table. To test the 3500, I filled boiling water 3/4's full, sealed the lid, and the outside was hot, but I could still hold it on the side handles and the outside surface as well, but it IS hot, so I recommend using the handles. There is NOT a seal on the lid, so water/fluid will come out the side if it were to turn over. I tested the temperature of the boiled water after 4 hours and the temperature was still 145 degrees. NICE! And I didn't warm the container ahead of time either, so that's pretty good. I then left the lid off, and tested again at 4 hr and 40 mins, it was still 115 degrees. So there you have it! It looks small for the price I thought it will be large

Keep in mind this is not a pot you can cook in. It's meant to simply keep meals hot or cold. We really liked it because the lid "locks" on and you can just carry your pot around by its lid. It has been so convenient for us with all of the meals we've had to cook for church events and stuff. Good size. It can hold quite a bit of food if you buy the 111 oz. It keeps the food warm for several hours (I'd say about 4 hours tops). But cold food can go for up to 6. We will probably get another one soon. Perfect for keeping food for the holiday meals!

Doesn't do what's expected. Foods cools off within 2 hours. We started to a picnic at around 10.30 with food packed in this hot pot. Opened it at lunch time around 1PM and we were disappointed. It was not even luke warm.
