I'm trying to grow cherry tomatoes in my apartment. I'm using 9 inch pots with 3 foot green plastic garden stakes. I was looking for something to clip onto the stakes that will hold up the plants but not hurt the stalks.I found these and it's the perfect solution. What I like are the two sizes so I can use the larger ones on thicker stalks. Also, I can move the clips on my stakes to accommodate the height and weight of the plants. Finally, I'll be able to store my stakes and clips in the closet over the winter. No room for giant tomato cages.Highly recommend these to go with your stakes.

Little smaller than expected, but will work fine!
Just received our gardens plant clips (2-packages) and even though they look a little small they just may work fine. The “Large Clips” are not really 2-inches other than overall size including the metal spring-band. Inner is about 1.5 inches and will completely shut around a dime, but that’s it!It holds one zucchini branch comfortably but our plants are young as shown here. They also hold the cucumber zines the same way. I did get five pens & pencils in one nicely to give you an idea of the maximum it will hold. The “Small Clips” are pretty small and did work on the tomato plants ok, but putting more than one, or two small ones would cramp it up quickly. Perhaps using them on bean vines would be more suitable.I like the clips and ordered 2-packages because I wanted the additional large ones. The price was reasonable, and it was shipped very fast. They would appear to be durable and hopefully we’ll be able to get a few years use out of them.As of now I would recommend them, but if you need something large for another type of plant shop around. These will work fine in a normal garden.

Does what they are supposed to
This worked well. I did accidentally slice a leaf off a plant when I was removing a small clip to replace with a larger one. I like that you get the different sizes. I have a Monstera that I used the large ones on to mount to stick for training the plant's growth. I used the smaller ones to clip stems of a trailing Pothos to a supposed trellis. Nice that the color is unobtrusive for my decor. Would be super good if they were adjustable, but I would buy these again.

My favorite garden clips for melons and cucumbers
I used these clips to train my melon and cucumbers plants to climb on my garden trellis. I was able to move the clips to a new spot once the plant was old enough and able to hang on the trellis. They are very easy to use and much better than using twist ties that I’ve used in the past. I love these clips so much I’ve bought three purchases already.

Overall a very good product and much better than tying the branches or ...
I cannot fault the product but the size difference between the small and large is huge. You will need a very thick stake for the large to hold. But - that is not a defect in the product. As for the clips themselves - they are very well built and do exactly what they are supposed to. The metal ring is very strong and will hold the clip shut. The plastic looks durable but only time will tell with that. You can move the clip around to change the placement of the branch being supported and it will rest in the corners - so you have some play once installed.Overall a very good product and much better than tying the branches or using the band clips. These clips will stress the plant the lowest of anything I have seen and will allow for movement and growth.
