Q: Is this just mix part 1 and part 2 equally with some sort of spoon in a cup, pour in your cavity and no special equipment needed?

I mix it by weight equally, and slowly pour in the mold. I recommend applying a thin layer over the project for detail, making sure there are minimal bubbles. After a couple of minutes, I start in a corner and slowly pour in the rest of the silicone. The remaining bubbles will rise to the surface.

this is 1/2 gallon of each for a total of 1 gallon

Q: Does the mixture smell when setting up? will it set up at room temperature?

no it does not smell and cures at room temperature

Q: How many lbs is this total?

It would be about 8.5 to 9ish lbs for each gallon. I believe other sellers might call this a 18 lb kit.
